This book is so boring I could not even finish it. Norman's not even in the book after the first couple of chapter and it's all about Norman's psychiatrist and the actors in a movie. Trust me, watch the movie Psycho II its so much better then this book.

This book is now one of my favorite books I have ever read. I watched the movie first because I find if I read the book first then all throughout the movie I am thinking "Oh they did not show this, or that" I liked the move very much but I do have to say there is so much more in the book that I don't know if I could watch the move again knowing so much was changed or or missing from it that is in the book.

This book is a hard book to put down and even though I was listening to it, it is as they say, a real page turner. It's also a good eye opener and or reminder of how black people were treated in the south in the not so far past and I am sure in some areas still are treated so poorly.

The other thing that makes this book so great to listen to is that some of the actors from the movie read their parts in this book. You can't beat that. I really hope she write a sequel to this book!

Having been a life long fan of Olivia and her music/movies, I was excited to read/listen to her book, thinking it would have all the ups and downs of her long career. I wanted to hear her side of many of the stories I have heard over the years of not so flattering things about her and her then husband Matt. Like when she and Matt were building their new home and violated over a 190 environmental ordnances yet she would proclaim to be a staunch environmentalist. In fact the press was so bad about that incident she and Matt would never even live in the house and put it up on the market. I wanted to hear her side of the story and many others. Unfortunately Ms. Newton-John decided to only talk about the good things she is known for and no writing about any negative things about her or her family are in this book.

Cotton-Candy fluff is fine if you want people to pay good money for your book and you put on the cover that your book is not going to be the whole story, just a condensed and very watered-down sugar sweet fable. In fact the cover of this book is very misleading in it's stating that the long awaited memoir...

By the end of the book it felt more like an Ad or Informercial for her new husbands herb company and her Charitys that she raises money for.

I am glad she does the charity works that she does and her love for animals seems legit but there is just something untrustworthy about someone who refuses to write anything bad about her or him self in they own memoir and it's just a rip off to anyone who brought the book thinking they were going to get a true and whole store. To me, this book is very abridged by way of not telling her whole story and only what she wants us to believe, and that being that she has lived the life of a saint.

I loved this book and so glad he wrote it. For years we have heard the gossip of what the women of the View are like and what they really feel about each other. This book confirms and dispels all of the rumors heard over the years in an interesting fun way. I really had a hard time putting it down, so to speak. I hope he write another one about the ladies on the show now.

Finally, someone who had the balls to talk about Barbra and to tell the truth of how vindictive and back stabbing she always was. Yet, he can make sure sympathetic at the same time.

I am glad he wrote this book by interviewing the women that have been on the View since day one and not just a "So and so said this to a friend." kind of thing.

This is not just a bitchy book of cat fighting, it also had a ton of very good information on how the View got started and how it has at times been on top of the ratings and why it has fallen off of the ratings at other times. It is interesting from start to finish and a must read for anyone who has every watched The View or is a fan of any of the women who have hosted it.

As a Gay man, I always loved the movie and I remember a miniseries in the 90's but I had never read the book. So when I saw that Laverne Cox was the Narrater for this 50th anniversary of Valley of The Dolls I was very excited. I thought she will bring so much to the book and maybe act some of it out with her voice... be careful what you wish for!

The book is dated but still I love the book and there is so much more that is in the book that was not in either the movie or miniseries, how could those even compare being the book is 17 hours. I love the book but not the narration.

Why Miss Cox did the voices she did is beyond me. The voice she uses for Neely is like nails on a chalkBoard after a while! And Jennifers voice that Laverne uses is not much better. I almost had to stop listen to the book and return it but I got through it, I may still return it though as there is no way I could ever listen to her read it again!

Does anyone listen the the Narrators while they read/record the book? Is there no one to say "WTF are you doing?!"

I myself am a survivor of domestic abuse and childhood abuse. So I was very interested to read this book and see what insight Melanie had to give.

It is a very interesting book, and it was interesting to find out about her childhood and life with the Spice Girls. It was also interesting to find out the story behind her and Eddie Murphy’s relationship.

Like all children that come from a not so great childhood, Mel only picked men that were abusive, cold, and distant in hopes that she could get them to love her because if she could do that she would prove to herself she was a lovable person. We from that sort of childhood do that.

What did surprise me however, is the choices Melanie would make, for instance, when she decided to publicly say F you to Stefan by showing up for the X factor without her wedding ring and then she seem shocked that he retaliated by leaving the country with their child. Really? That’s surprised you? You describe what a monster he is but then that shocks you? Needless to say, there were several times that this book set off my bullshit to tactor’s

What a life she has had and she is still so young. I could not stop listening to this book. What an incredible story she tells of her life and what a survivor she is! She is able to get the pain across that she felt but she can make you laugh at the same time. If she ever wants to stop standup or acting she can just write more books, she is a very gifted writer.

I never once was bored and I really hope he does a part two to this book as he stops it just as Phantom is a hit. I want to know more Sir Webber, please write the rest.
