Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

What a life she has had and she is still so young. I could not stop listening to this book. What an incredible story she tells of her life and what a survivor she is! She is able to get the pain across that she felt but she can make you laugh at the same time. If she ever wants to stop standup or acting she can just write more books, she is a very gifted writer.

The third of Judy Garland's five husbands, Sid Luft was the one man in her life who stuck around. He was chiefly responsible for the final act of Judy's meteoric comeback after she was unceremoniously booted off the MGM lot: he produced her iconic, Oscar-nominated vehicle A Star Is Born and expertly shaped her concert career.

I liked this book and feel he had an interesting life. I did not know most of the information about Judy he talks about in his book

He really pissed me off as he was just like all the others in Judy's life. They knew that if they pushed her to go back on the road she would start using again and yet they all pushed her over and over to go back on the road with tours even though she would get clean and start to be happy and healthy. If any of these people loved her they would have never have done that to her.

What I did like it that Judy sounded like a great person to know and hang out with and she was a hoot according to his book. It was strange tho how he never really talks about the kids. You would think he never had any with Judy being he only talks about Liza once of two and nothing about Lorna or Michael.

Jenifer Lewis keeps it real in this provocative and touching memoir by a Midwestern girl with a dream whose journey from poverty to Hollywood will move, shock, and inspire listeners. Told in the audacious voice her fans adore, Jenifer describes a road to fame made treacherous by dysfunction and undiagnosed mental illness, including a sex addiction. Yet, supported by loving friends and strengthened by "inner soldiers", Jenifer never stopped entertaining and creating.

This is a no holds barred book of Ms. Lewis life and it is a shocker at times. She tells it just like it is and does not hold back when it comes to telling the truth about her own personal demons that she has faced and still faces every day. What sets this book apart from other Memoirs is that Jenifer tells her story with such wit and humor that you cry and laugh at the same time and are never sure what it is you are feeling more, her pain or her straight to make it through such sad times.

Don't get me wrong, this book is not an oh-poor-is-me kind of book. It's a hoot and I had to relisten to some part of it over as I was laughing too hard to hear all she said/wrote the first time.

I can say I am a much bigger fan then I was of Ms. Lewis now that I know her story and I think you will be also.

When it comes to insult comics, Bianca Del Rio is in a class by herself. Fierce, funny, and fabulous - a would-be love child sired by John Waters and birthed by Joan Rivers - Bianca sandblasted her name in the annals of pop culture on RuPaul’s Drag Race. Thanks to her snarky frankness, impeccable comedic timing, and politically incorrect humor, she became the show’s breakout star, winning its sixth season. In Blame It on Bianca Del Rio, Bianca shares her opinions loudly and proudly, offering raucous, hilarious, no-holds-barred commentary on annoyances, big and small.

I have to say I was very disappointed in this book. It's OK but not the fall down laughing book I thought it would be. I thought it would be like watching her do her thing when she is on stage or TV. However, the book felt forced and not the fast wit and adlib humor that Bianca is famous for.

I don't know who to blame but this book is a bore.

In December 2016, the world was shaken by the sudden deaths of Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds, two unspeakable losses. The stunned public turned for solace to Debbie’s only remaining child, Todd Fisher. The son of "America’s Sweethearts" Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher, Todd grew up amid the glamorous wealth and pretense of Hollywood. Thanks to his mother, Todd remained down to earth, his own man, but always close to his cherished mom, and to his sister through her meteoric rise to stardom and her struggle with demons that never diminished her humor, talent, or spirit.

I have been a long time fan of Debbie and Carrie so I was excited to see this book by Todd Fisher was out. I did worry that it would be just the same stories that Debbie and Carrie have already written about in their books. Though there are a couple of stories that Todd retells it's from his point of view mostly and it makes the whole story even more interesting.

I have often wondered why Todd was the only one who has not written a book and you find out why in My Girls. I cannot say enough about how great this book is. Todd really knows who to draw you into the book and keep you wanting more. I learned so much more about them all. Very much like his mom's and sisters books, Todd's book made me laugh, cry and I feel like I was right there with Todd the whole journey of his life stories with Debbie, Carrie and most of all Todd's story, that has never been told, until now.

As a fan, I thank you, Todd, for writing this book. It's a must read/listen!!

I love Mamrie and could not wait to get this book. It started out slow. I got the feeling she was not ready to be too open and maybe regrets even saying she would write this book.

However, once it got going it is a very funny book. It has some sad moments but most of the book is just fun and crazy. I really like the book but hope someday Mamrie will open up more and really let it go with her writing. She is holding back, you can tell she is, but when she does let go and really shares her feelings in this book, she shows that she has one hell of a good look on life and it's ups and downs.

Really looking forward to all she brings to the table with her future shows, movies, and books to come as this woman had shitloads of talent!

This is a fun book... More like play, to read/listen too. I liked learning how Newt and her family lived before "Aliens" and it's fun to see how much more evil Burk was. The actors are great and most of the book is good but the end of the book has too many sound effects and not enough dialog to tell you what is happen so it's kind of lost, or should I say the listener gets lost in what is going on.

All and all it's a book/play and you do get a much deeper insight into the movie but I just wish the ending has been done better.
