My FallenCon agenda is simple: sit on a couple of panels and let people meet the real me. Jesse Garvy - mod of a famous Twitch channel and, if I ever come out of my shell, future vlogger. I definitely didn't plan to sleep with a moody tattooed fan-artist, but he's gorgeous and can't keep his hands off me. There's a first time for everything, and my first time with a guy turns out to be the hottest experience of my life. But the next day, I find out my moody fan-artist is Ian Larsen AKA Cherry - someone I've known online for years.

and I hate watching ppl play video games, but I love these characters so much and they feel so real. The authors do a great job of pulling me into the world of gaming and vlogging while using it as the backdrop for this series. I think I might be a little older then the target audience, but I absolutely love it! I still think book 1 was the best in the series, but they are all multiple listen material. OK maybe not ever, but it is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites and it is one of my go to rereads when I need something to listen to and there is nothing interesting in my library. I am glad we see more of Declan and Stacia in this episode.

I am not going to go in to a plot summary, but this book is mostly outside on New York and Vermont locals of the prior books, so we see some new characters and get a deeper knowledge of what else os out there. We also get a good idea of Omega's all-knowing power - scary. I was sorry to see the Sorrow personality was gone, that was some of the most humorous stuff in DA8 and DA9. But overall another highly enjoyable installment.

Oh yeah and JPC- best narrator ever!!

So...I knew better, as I was doing it, I thought 'you probably should not be doing this now' but I did it anyway, I started this new Kristen Ashley book at 9:30 pm on a week night. 6 hours later I was still listening, completely wired by this story and had wrestle with myself to hit pause button so I got get a few hours of sleep before work.

I am a huge KA fan and I loved this one, it is pure KA. A prior reviewer said that nothing happens in this book, but I completely disagree, there is a depth to the characters that is revealed in al the minor interactions and little dramas. It is what I truly find so appealing about her books. You can't help but love all her characters.

I think it is my second favorite of the series (after Sweet Dreams) but I think I need to go back and listen to all the books in this series again before I make a final determination.

If you enjoy KA books this should be an auto download -absolutely credit worthly, if you are new to this author, this is the most recent release in the Colorado Mountain series. It can be read as a stand alone, but would be better if read in order imo. Happy listening

I got this one based on the high star rating this book has. I was concerned that it did not merit the high rating since the written reviews are not as glowing. But I took the chance and am glad I did. I went on to get the next 4 books and they are all just as good in my opinion.

The storyline is tight and quick moving. The characters and world building are well developed. The narration was a bit different. I did not mind the accents, at least the characters voices were differentiated, I just was not sure why a New York vampire sounded like they were from Fargo.

Overall I recommend this one if you like light fantasy, daemon slayers and vimpires.

Let me just say that I am extremely biased. KA is one of my all time favorite authors, so it is hard for me to find anything bad about her writing. I thought Walk Through Fire was really good. For me, it was just not one of KA's best, but we all have our favorites. That said, I will probably listen to it again, because I lover her stuff and this series.

This one was a little predictable, I knew where it was going and when that happens it is hard to stay engaged, so if you are not a true KA fan, this may be disappointing or slow at points. I also got tired of the flashback sequences, they tried to give the backstory, but it was a little too forced imo. It was also hard to suspend disbelief on the 20 separation, who does not get on with their life in 20 years? I found it had to reconcile.

Other then that, we see a lot of friends from other books, which is nice and there is the same relationship building that we see in all of KA's books, which I love.

As for a recommendation, I would not start here, but if you are a KA fan, I would not miss this one. If you are new to KA, I envy you all the great reads/listens you now have. Start with the beginning of this series, this is the last one.

You know when you hear about a book or movie coming out and get are really excited because you are sure it is going to be something you enjoy. Then when if finally comes out, there is a bit of apprenetion because you are not sure it will live up to all the expectations you have set. Well I am here to say, I did that for this book and it still exceeded my expectations, and the bar was really high. This is a repeat list for me for sure. I savored this book, since it is the last, and in some ways my favorite of the 'burg stories. I highly recommend this one and anything else with Kristen Ashley's name on it. This book rocks!! I am so excited the Sinners books are continuning with this series. I cannot wait for more. If you like the first series, you will like (read: need to get) this book. No spoilers here, but I was a bit turned off by the summary, so it took me a few days to give it a try. For some reason the thought of another journalist/rocker romance seemed a bit tired and over done to me, but there was a different twist to this one and it took me all of about 15 min to be completely engaged! Definitely recommend.

The previous reviewers did not lie. Sometimes I get books with high reviews and completely disagree with the rating. I'm happy to say that is not the case for this book. I find it to be one of the better books of the EOTWAWKI genre.

It follows the same script, watching our main character prep for the coming crisis and then deal with the ever increasing chaos as things go downhill fast, but the execution here is superb. This book is fast-moving and hard to put down so carve out a big chunk of time for this lesson.

Overall I highly recommend it and I'm really looking forward to book 2.

Wow. I can't believe how much I enjoyed this book. I can't wait for anything else by this author to be released in audiobook. This is a great paranormal/fantasy romance with great world building and good character development. But what I really liked was the fact that it didn't focus on how broken the main characters were and how much they needed to be fixed, there was no angst over being forced to marry. No stupid decisions by the characters or frustrating plot twists. No drama over psychological scars from their pasts, well not much. It was just a good fantasy with two mainly well adjusted characters learning how to love despite their differences. With all the other new releases in the romance genre lately, this was as refreshing as it was we'll done.

I highly recommend this one and it may actually be a multiple listen for me.
