I have to say I judged the book based on it's cover, which is sometimes a good thing and sometimes not so good. This time the cover really doesn't fit the story in my opinion. The story takes place while the 2 main characters are going to college, thus this has more of a feeling of young (mature) adult rather than a hot or steamy story

Each day I prayed for my husband to love me again. After 15 years together, he walked away from me, and into the arms of another. I didn’t know how to cope. I didn’t know my worth. I didn’t know how to exist without him by my side. All I wanted was for him to come back to me. Then, Jackson Emery appeared. He was supposed to be a distraction for my mind. A summer fling. A confidence boost to my bruised heart. We were perfect for one another, because we both knew we wouldn’t last. Jackson didn’t believe in commitment, and I no longer believed in love.

This is a good book and the narrators nail the Georgia drawl accent for all the characters. The only problem for me was, I thought this story could have been shorter. At times I thought the story dragged.

So you may ask, who is Adam Connor? He is the recently divorced, Academy Award-winning actor who just moved in next door with his kid. He also happens to be an exquisite male specimen and the most infuriating sly bastard I've ever come across. While I was being thoughtful by not breaking and entering, and was actually considering going over to offer him a shoulder to cry on (you know, because of his divorce), instead he had me thrown in jail after a small incident. Jail, people!

Money or love? Which would you choose? You probably just answered the question in your head, thinking it's an easy decision. For me, it's not. Did I mention it's a lot of money? A hell of a lot. I needed to go far away to think it through. As I embarked on an impulsive trip, I hit a detour when I met sexy Carter in the airport lounge. We struck up a heated conversation. Then, he left. I thought I'd never see him again. But fate had other plans. Surprise! He was the pilot of my flight.

While deciding where to go she meets Carter a good looking man-whore of a pilot who convinces her to go to follow him all over the globe and experience different places and things to do, living in the moment.
Even though the sexual tension and emotional chemistry is definitely strong between them, life throws too many curve balls and they have to seek out each other if they want to last.
Two of my favorite narrators Andi Arndt and Sebastian York nail the characters and their personalities to make this story come to life. If I had to say anything bad about the story, I thought I was a bit long by the time I got to the end, All the same I really enjoyed it.

Charley Davidson, Grim Reaper extraordinaire, is pissed. She’s been kicked off the earthly plane for eternity - which is the appropriate amount of time to make a person stark-raving mad. But someone’s looking out for her, and she’s allowed to return after a mere hundred years in exile. Is it too much to hope for that not much has changed? Apparently it is. Bummer.

Darynda Jones and Lorelei King have an amazing work chemistry - I love Darynda's writing and Lorelei puts so much effort into her characters personalities that you would think there was more than one narrator,

Truth be told I'd totally upset and heart broken that Charley and Reyes have come to their final chapter. I'm soooo in love with Charley's wit, sass, backtalk and pension for crazy ideas/plans both in her voice and inside voice that I'm sure we must be related at some point. ((6 degrees and all))

And then there is the delicious, sexy and strong Reyes. Through Darynda's, Lorelei, and Charley's eyes.....I've developed a serious candy crush on Reyes. Oh the places my mind could take this fictional character ; )

As Charley and Reyes attempt to figure out clues and why New Mexico is under attack I would have like to see Charley discover more of her powers she didn't know she had, that being said, I loved this last book in the series with it's HEA and pray to the caffeine gods that Darynda will do a spin off of this series.
I will miss Charley and Reyes.

Yet I was slowly falling for another man. The problem was - the two men - they shared a tour bus. Flynn Beckham was the opening act. Dylan Ryder was the headliner. Beat is about a Lucky a daughter of Rock legends finding love. The concern I had with this book was it made Lucky seem more naive with her boyfriend Dillon than I think she should have been, given her lineage.
When Lucky meets up and coming rocker Flynn, gravity and planets a line making Lucky question her feelings for Dillon.
Dillon is your stereotypical spoiled brat slash, I want all the fame focused on me rocker. When he suspects Lucky and Flynn have an attraction - he takes on a 35 year old temper tantrum
Overall I liked this book, even though I'm not really a rocker novel type reader. Sebastian York and Molly Glenmore did a great job and allowed you to feel the turmoil between the characters.

A new standalone novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author, Vi Keeland. The night I met Drew Jagger, he'd just broken into my new Park Avenue office. I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills. He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing. Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant. Only, turned out, he wasn't an intruder at all. Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He'd been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.
