This is really a review for the whole series. The narrator was my least favorite part of these books. His voice is kind of monotonous and dull. Several times I felt lulled to sleep and had to rewind the story as I missed important details.
The author was very descriptive and built a viable easily visible world. There were a few times where things were a little too coincidental for my liking but it really did make for a great story.
The ending, in my opinion, was one of the best endings to a series I've ever read. A lot of times I'm left wishing the author had done it differently but not with this story.
Although, I do sort fo wish we knew more about the travels of a certain character (not naming names as I dont want to post spoilers). Maybe we could look forward to a 3.5 mini book of their journal.

This kept coming up as a recommended book and it just didn't look interesting to me. But I took the plunge and bought it. I've recently decided that TJ Klune is my favorite writer. This story bordered on a line of scifi and I really enjoyed it. I've come to the conclusion that Klune can write anything. I don't want to have spoilers in my review so I won'tgo into to many details but i will say that i was rooting for Greg in the end. The narrator was a good choice also.

We all have inner demons. We fight them all the time. Some of us achieve inner peace by coming to terms with them. But how do you come to terms with inner demons that tear free and become outer demons? Eric has been a vampire for nearly a century, and his demons are more than metaphors. While they controlled him, he was the Demon King. Now he has to avoid the monsters in his own mind, as well as angry nobles, fanatical religions, assassins, magi, other vampires, criminal organizations, and more.

I've listened to book 1-3 straight through and I don't seem to be tiring of Sean Runnette's voice at all. I do kind of wish he had a broader range as most of the characters sound the same. Only the women voices were slightly higher.

As for the story its self, I really didn't like how it bounced around in the time line. Honestly, i considered returning it for my credit. I did stick it out till the end and Garon Whited managed to make the ending interesting enough to make me consider reading the next book.

When I first started listening to this book I would have given it 3.5 stars, by the end of book three 4.5 stars but now that I've listened to book 5 I realize that this is actually really good. I'm not sure I'd call it romance, its more of a psychological thriller. Even though there's sex and acting like there's love its really more about Lilly trying to stay sane while playing Jeremy's sick mind games. By the end of book 5 you start to see some real love but not what i would consider romance. Its kind of sick and twisted but I'm enjoying the series. I'm giving it 5 stars

I'm not really a huge fan of werewolf books but after reading a blog post by TJ Klune I decided to give this a try. Let me first start out by saying this isn't hornless gay unicorns or sexy perverted dragons. It's an emotional roller coaster with ups and downs moments of joy and moments of great sadness. I was bawling my eyes out. What a wonderful emotionally charged story. I was sad to hear it end. Now I just have to wait for the next book to be made available. I'd highly recommend this book to everyone. Even though its considered gay romance there's actually only a few sex scenes towards the end. The rest is just an awesome love story.

This is as far as I'm going in this series. The first book was okay but as a person with ADHD I really felt as though Micah's roll was misstated. I feel as though Mason's character was unbelievable. Everyone deals with grief differently but this was not believable for me. Rigg and Bobby could have been the same person. It was hard for me to tell who was speaking and when. Although, I am interested in hearing about Max and Aiden and their pony play adventure I won't buy the next in this series.

This is a good story. I had some trouble with the narrator. It was sometimes hard to tell who was talking between the brothers. It was also kind annoying how he would say "brotherss" or "kidsz". I'm pretty sure it was probably written brothers' as in plural possessive but the narrator liked to add on the extra s at the end of the words. Very strange.

Once upon a time, I believed in fairytales. But then he took me. And he taught me that life isn't a fairytale. He is scarred. Broken. A dark and wild thing. His beauty is violent and his words are cruel. His heart is a shadowed landscape where nothing can grow. He tells me he could never care for me, and he proves it every day.

I felt this book was going to be good amd it might have been but the narration wasn't. U luked the sound of her voice but she does this funny breathy thing at the end of each sentence. Her version of the mans voice was a weird mix between irish, middle eastern and latin/mexican/spanish. I assume it was supposed to be a latino accent since the characters name was Javier but it was awful. I don't often leave bad reviews and i feel bad doing so.
