The name's Barrett Callahan. Yeah, that Barrett Callahan - the one the press dubbed "bare", after those naked sexting pictures surfaced. At 25, I was armed with an MBA from Harvard, an executive position at my father's Fortune 500 company, a penthouse, and a different piece of delectable eye candy in my bed every weekend. I had a life most men dreamed of. But then my father decided to run for president, and my playboy lifestyle became a liability to his campaign that was built on family values.

Good thing this Hellcat has nine lives because he's going to need them if he's going to survive Lucifer's latest scheme and land on his four furry feet. Okay, so Felipe ate a few of the Styx sea creatures. In his defense, they were awfully tasty. Depleting the monster reservoir didn't mean Lucifer had to go all lord of hell on him and order him to go on a stupid mission. And to Siren Isle, of all places! Everyone knows males should stay far, far away from that dangerous place.

While this is an ok book. I could not get over the mixing of Greek mythos and Christian beliefs in such a manner. I mean really swap hades for Lucifer and basically call it good with some Roman myths? This is the first book in the series I lessened to.

Meet Blaire. An underachieving college student with zero prospects and a ton of issues (hey, being the less-successful twin of a gorgeous supermodel would totally do that to you). She doesn't do bad boys. Actually, she doesn't do boys, like, at all. Not that she's a lesbian. And not that there's anything wrong with being one. It's just that...well...she kind of needs to focus on graduating from college right now.

I'm leaving you this note because I know you're very busy, and I don't want to waste the town sheriff's time. Lord knows I've already wasted enough of it. Thank you for taking me home last night and...everything else. I made you a basket of wild blueberry muffins for your trouble. That seemed like the appropriate baked good for getting naked in your living room. I wasn't myself last night. I didn't mean to kiss you or fondle your backside or ask all those intimate questions. Thank you for pretending to enjoy it.

"Dear Listeners: Some of you may remember this story as Sapphire's Worth. Written in 2004, a few brief excerpts were posted on my website, and they were never forgotten - I've been receiving email about Sapphire and Wulf ever since! In the Flesh was my second completed novel, and although I have written many more since then, this Arabian Nights tale of seduction, power, and ultimate surrender holds a special place in my heart. Wulfric remains one of my favorite heroes. I hope he'll become one of yours as well!"

The authors note is interesting and his promise delivered. If he had twice as much as I did lessening he must have be rolling on the floor with laughter. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!!!
