Besides his family, music had always been the most important thing in Carter Greene's life. Having a career in music was everything he had ever dreamed of. That was until the terrible night when he nearly lost everything. Carter can't get the image of one particular man out of his mind; the man who found him in his darkest moment. The one who risked everything to save him and the same person who most likely never wants to speak to him again.

We meet both Carter and Ryan in the first one, Carter more than Ryan, so we know a little bit of what happened. The way these two finally get together will keep you on the edge of your seat and wondering what next. As with the first one, you will be blown away by how drawn into their lives you will find yourself. Do not be surprised if you're sitting in your car in the driveway because you simply have to finish the chapter.

The narrator is amazing!!!! Michael Pauley nails the voices of everyone, as always.

His days of playing football are far behind him, he has graduated from the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), and his bakery, Moore Delicious, is finally in the black. Although he spends more time talking to his cats than he does people, he technically has time for a social life now that he has hired two new employees. In short, Logan is completely out of excuses to stay in the closet, where it is warm and cozy and he never has to worry about how to dress, what to say, or who is watching.

This is the first in a series and you are instantly drawn into their story and lives. The narrator does an amazing job of bringing the characters to life. Logan and Chance have an interesting beginning to their relationship with Chance believing something that was meant to be a joke. Then Logan decides that he can be himself and asks Chance to help him. You will find yourself laughing at points and all but bawling at others.

He was mesmerized by Julian the moment he laid eyes on him: gorgeous, brilliant, and unabashedly himself. But Julian is also his friend's off-limits baby brother. So Xander spends the next three years distancing himself, focusing his energy on his math-letic friends, his boxer Cassius, and his LGBT youth center, Safe Harbor.

Lieutenant Dustin Strauss is a reformed man. No longer a 20-something hell-raiser, he's his SEAL team's new XO - and a man with a secret. Or seven. He's kept his bisexual identity under wraps for years, along with his kinky side and a fondness for the military-themed semi-anonymous hookup website Joe4Joe. His latest chat buddy is more than a sexy online distraction - they're taking their very not-safe-for-work relationship into real time.

After devoting 18 years of his life to the US Navy, Petty Officer First Class Shane Parker is struggling with the very real possibility of becoming unnecessary. If he doesn't make chief petty officer before he's 20 - and it doesn't seem likely that he will - he'll be retired from active service and placed on the Fleet Reserve list until his mooring lines are officially cut forever. While it would all be very honorable and ceremonial, he simply wasn't civilian material.

These two books are simply fantastic, amazing, heart filling, and just beyond well written. Micah's soldier is a quick read but is no less amazing for it's shortness. It is emotional and wonderful (you'll laugh at the leaning incident). Now, for Treading Water. You might find yourself wondering why the beginning of the story seems to focus on Jared and Aidan but there is a reason behind this (at least I think so). This lays the foundation on why this case is so important to everyone. Shane and Julian will instantly dig their way under your skin and you will be cheering and crying for them. Key West is described so well that you will swear the sand is between your toes. And can I just say how much Sean touched me?

Now, is book 3 ready? Please!!!!

He and his brother Isaac are the lone survivors of an attack by an army of the undead, in which Angel used a spell so powerful it forever marked his place in history. Now, years later, Angel struggles to balance his career as a teacher of the higher magical arts, his role as big brother, and a tenuous relationship with an Elder vampire from the local clan.

As the two lone surivors of their family, Angelus and Isaac seem to be polar opposites with Angel constantly cleaning up Isaac's messes and Isaac stuck somewhere between childhood and adulthood. Then you have Simeon. Oh, man, this vampire is one that makes you want to tilt your head and accept whatever. The battle scenes are well-written and makes you feel like you are standing right there. You just need to listen to this and you'll find yourself under the spell of the Necromancer. Joel Leslie does a fantastic job with the accents and bringing the words to life.

Maddox is looking at his life and realizes that he has to make changes yet he is worried on how Ben will take to these changes. As these two take you on a wild emotional wild, you find yourself cheering then wanting to smack someone on the back of the head to get them to wake up. Another great book in the series and I enjoyed the glimpses into the lives of the past couples.
