After standing at Donald Trump’s side on Election Night, Cliff Sims joined him in the West Wing as special assistant to the president and director of White House message strategy. He soon found himself pulled into the president’s inner circle as a confidante, an errand boy, an advisor, a punching bag, and a friend. This is the story of what it was really like in the West Wing as a member of the president’s team. It's a story of power and palace intrigue, backstabbing and bold victories, as well as painful moral compromises, occasionally with yourself.

Hated it! If I could rate it 0 stars I would. This is the very first time, I've given a NEGATIVE Audible review, and I've been a member for 6 years. It was too much for me to stomach. The author spends most of his time bragging about his personal accomplishments, self importance, moral superiority and paying fake homage to Trump. Ugh! This was worser then the Omarosa book! I kept waiting for it to get better, but it didn't. By chapter 7, I was done with it. Cliff is just another Trump sycophant, trying to make money off his brief tour in the White House. I guess birds of a feather flock together, or in this case VIPERS. Don't waste your credit on this one. I'm sure glad I got mine back!

Never got into the Patterson novels before this book, but I will now. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. I'm hoping for another colab, with another former president. BTW, CHAPTER 125 is the best!!!

Excellent book! If you ever doubted Comey's reasons for writing it, you'll be won over! This is not a titillating tale full of gossip and innuendo like Michael Wolf's book. This is not a diss on Trump but a clear and open personal account of Comey's road to and from the White House. Very well written and read.

The lovable man for all ages, who captured America's heart in the #1 best-selling novel Forrest Gump and in the blockbuster film, returns in the long-awaited sequel to the book hailed by Larry King as "the funniest novel I have ever read." A little older, and wiser in his own unique way, he is still running through the kaleidoscopic events of our times -- and straight into the age of greed and instant gratification known as the 1980s.
