Ok, so I'm a 52 year old attorney and I work with some pretty serious stuff---survivors of sexual assault--that kind of thing and I love watching Vanderpump Rules b/c it reminds me of me and my friends when we were in our 30's...before marriage, kids and all that serious stuff. Just fun to watch human behavior at it's finest! I started listening to Stassi's podcast and find it cheers me up to listen to her banter about basic bitch things especially when life can be so fucking serious and no fun. Stop taking yourselves so seriously, people! Stassi is bright, witty and authentic. A natural performer...she has the gift of gab and ability to tell stories in the most amusing fashion.

Author Aideen T. Finnola’s life has consisted of a series of trials and obstacles. She was raised by abusive parents who joined a Christian cult when she was eight. She left the cult at 23 only to go straight into a 20-year marriage with an abusive husband who, as a closeted gay man, had falsely represented himself from the start. In My Exquisite Purple Life, Finnola offers a collection of stories from her life that share the many challenges she’s faced and the wisdom she’s gained through healing her pain.

This is what I love about Aideen's book: She is UNAPOLOGETIC. How refreshing and empowering. I'm so happy she narrated her book. Her voice is rich and melodic and draws the listener into the story of years and years of abuse. I had no idea what a "straight spouse" was before I read and listened to this book. Aideen is a trail blazer and I'm pretty sure her story is going to help a lot of people who are suffering. Highly recommend!
