If you could sum up Ghost in the Wires in three words, what would they be?

Rules? No way.

What other book might you compare Ghost in the Wires to and why?

I have never read anything quite like this. The film, 'Catch Me If You Can' comes close. Both are stories of real men who just wouldn't play by the rules.

Which character – as performed by Ray Porter – was your favorite?

Kevin Mitnik was made very sympathetic and understandable by the performance.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The end, when he told about his successes after prison. When his supporters started the FREE KEVIN movement, that was awesome.

Any additional comments?

The book was an education as well as being wonderfully entertaining, and moving. The long lists of codes and sites was a bit tedious.

What did you love best about A Stainless Steel Rat Is Born?

The story is a prequel giving the series background The villains are well drawn, as usual. The story is crafted better than some of the others. Fun!

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Bishop made the story work. This character explained the mind set of Jim Degris.

Which character – as performed by Phil Gigante – was your favorite?

Phil Gigante showed his range in this narration. He is a star. He always makes good, entertaining stories better. His performance of Jim as a teen helped the entire series.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I will have that kind of time in about a year.

The production is always good in this series.

The over the top performance and story line. A pleasure, guilty or not.

What did you like best about this story?

The narration. It wouldn't be the same story without this 'fits like a glove' narration.

What does Phil Gigante bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

A star performance.

A bad idea in the twenty-fifth millennium.

The story is fun. The action compelling. I hope to hear more episodes.

The narration was essential to the story. Reading instead of hearing would be much less of an experience,

No. It was just a nice experience.

Anyone who is a fan of conservation and learning of other lands and cultures should love this story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Quest in Paradise?

The hardship of getting around this mountainous island and the uniqueness of the place.

What about David Attenborough’s performance did you like?

David Attenborough is a born story teller. He clearly loves what he does. He paints the scenes with words.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A story from a lost time.

The characters were well drawn. The story line was very satisfying. There were no dead spots.

The story back on Neanderthal earth was quite dramatic.

Then Ponder crashed the trial.

No. The length of the book is daunting.

Precision.

The end when a long term patient dies. Her dignity and strength were moving.

This book could almost be used as a text of the history of the battle with cancer.

What did you love best about Water for Elephants?

There are very well drawn characters in this book. It was a little like hearing a play. Dialogue helps drive the story. I haven't seen the cinema or video versions yet. I do see why it became a film property. The facts of the depicted animal behavior are a bit suspect. However that is a minor flaw. I had no problem just devouring this book. It is quite wonderful.

What did you like best about this story?

The double arc of Jacob in youth and old age.

What does David LeDoux and John Randolph Jones bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The voice performances are critical in this book. Magnificent job.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Victory at the circus.

Quite a good read. I may hear it again.
