Once Upon A Cowboy
What a great introduction to this delightfully sweet romance series! And you just can't go wrong with a story featuring cowboys AND a dash of danger and intrigue.

Cowboy Charming
Of the two I have listened to so far I think this one was my favorite – I loved the twist on the old Cinderella fairytale! Definitely an enchanting and romantic story!

The Toad Prince
The title is perfect because the hero really starts out as a toad! But a sweet Texas gal totally changes his mind...and heart. This book is charming addition to the series!

The Beastly Princess
I think this was the story I was waiting for, to finally find out more about the disagreeable sister and the cowboy that would win her heart. And what an endearing story it was!

The Lost Princess
At long last readers/listeners get to find out about the missing princess and the cop who loves her. I enjoyed this one a lot because of the strong suspense thread!

Overall
This collection is a fun escape from the humdrum of everyday life and into the world of princesses and knights in Stetsons, not shining armor. Each one is a fairly quick read, or as in my case, listen.

I listened to the audiobook version of Cowboy Fairytales: The Complete Collection and I really enjoyed it. The narration was good, in fact, the same person narrated the entire collection which lent an air of continuity.

Sweet cowboy romance with a dash of whimsy and suspense. If you are looking for a good, clean, read or listen with a touch of faith, definitely check out this neat series from Lacy Williams.

So, the first thing I'll admit is that I don't read a lot of YA-type books. Not even when I was still in the target age-range. But every so once in awhile I'll pick one up that sounds interesting. The Gifting was one such book. The idea of a teen girl experiencing the supernatural realm is not new to me but is still intriguing.

I really wasn't sure what to expect when I started listening. K.E. (Katie) Ganshert is an author I've known about but haven't read any of her books yet. Let me tell you, she is GOOD!

The Gifting is actually a pretty chilling read, or as in my case, listen. The world Tessa lives in is eerily similar to today, the same brands and the same technology, and yet so different. This is what our world can become if we continue down the path we seem to be on. The questions and opinions of the characters in this book will definitely get you thinking about your own stance, no matter what your age.
This is a book that can appeal to readers of all ages, while there are plenty of very teen moments it shouldn't lose adult readers.

I listened to the Audible version of this book and it was good! The narrator had a great voice to represent the teenage Tessa, and she did a great job giving each character their own tones and inflections.

This book is out of my usual genre but I'm glad I listened to it and I hope to 'read' the rest of the books in K.E. Ganshert's mind-stretching The Gifting series.

So, I've never been the hugest fan of fantasy but over the years I've started giving some of the Christian ones a chance. The Tethered World features, what in my reading experience is, a unique premise. Legends like gnomes, leprechauns, and bigfoot, are real, originally coming from the Garden of Eden.

I have to say that I liked everything about The Tethered World; the neat storyline, Heather FitzGerald's gentle handling of a character's autism, the realistic interaction between the siblings, down to the detailed realm of the Tethered World and its inhabitants. Not to mention, that the Larcen kids are homeschooled which is a rarity in today's fiction.

I have to say that I truly loved Sadie as a heroine, a reluctant heroine I might add. I've read so many stories where the girl is impossibly brave and just accepts whatever comes her way. Not so, Sadie. She is honestly scared, would rather be anywhere but smack in an adventure, and doesn't always get along with her siblings. But in her determination to rescue her parents she finds out that she is made of stronger stuff than even she thought.

I listened to the Audible version of this book and I totally enjoyed it. The narrator was perfect, she had the right voice for Sadie's character and just the right inflections. I also liked the few effects that were scattered throughout the story.

Heather FitzGerald's first book in her Tethered World Chronicles series is a must read or listen for any fantasy lover and would make a perfect storytime book for families. I can't wait for book two to come out!

I knew Lynnette Bonner could write some pretty good westerns, I knew she could do contemporary romance, and she does well in historical romances with intrigue. But I can now definitely say she is one of the most versatile authors I've read as she does romantic suspense very well.

The Unrelenting Tide was a real edge-of-your-seat story filled with twists and turns. I always enjoy trying to figure out the villain in books but Lynnette Bonner sure had me going and I got totally off track for quite awhile. The Unrelenting Tide is a great romantic suspense novel and well worth the time spent reading or, like I did, listening.

I listened to an Audible audiobook version and I have to say that it was one of the best ones I've listened to. The narrator was very good, and I enjoyed the enthusiasm and emotion she put into the story and characters.

Great story, great audiobook, don't miss The Unrelenting Tide by Lynnette Bonner.

When I got the chance to listen to a Janice Thompson audiobook I jumped at it, and with my fascination with historic hurricanes all it took was the title to grab my attention.

Now, I've read a number of Janice Thompson's contemporary romantic comedies, and she is one of my favorite authors, but Hurricane just added to my appreciation of her talent. Hurricane isn't a typical Janice Thompson book and is more serious in nature. Talk about nature, wow, this book chronicles the events of the 1900 Galveston hurricane that wrought unimaginable damage and suffering. I had heard of the hurricane before but this book totally opened my eyes to the extent of it. Hurricane takes you through the super-peaceful days leading up to, through the hurricane, and then the aftermath. Through Janice Thompson's excellent prose and the narrator's voice I could almost feel the wind and taste the rising salt waters.

One of my favorite things about the Audible audiobook is that, even though the book follows several characters both male and female, the narrator is a man. While listening I felt that Brent was actually the central character and that made me appreciate the narrator even more.

Hurricane is an exciting, heart-wrenching, tale of love, sacrifice, and finding out what is most important. Whether read or listened to Janice Thompson's story of the 1900 Galveston Hurricane will linger in the mind long after...

A truly sweet historical romance in the tradition of Janette Oke. Her Convenient Cowboy is the story of a young couple adjusting to a life together after being thrust into marriage by need and the weather. I enjoyed the interaction between Davy and Rose, quickly coming to care about them both.

This was my first Lacy Williams historical but I felt that I was able to dive into the series and enjoy it even though I hadn't read any of the previous stories. Of course, I imagine that won't last long and that I will be looking for the rest of the series.

I truly enjoyed listening to the Audible version of this book. There was something about the narrator's voice that just fit the story perfectly. I'm sure coming up with the different voices for all of the characters was no easy task but the narrator was definitely up to it.

Overall Her Convenient Cowboy was a fun listen, one well worth the time spent with my ear glued to the speaker attached to my Kindle.

An emotionally moving story, Slave Again is almost hard to listen to at times. It has its rather dark moments but it is ultimately a story of faith and hope.

Mee-Kyong lives a life so far removed from my own that sometimes it's hard to imagine and I kept turning the next page and the next. The choices she must make are beyond impossible and not only does she survive day after day but a tiny seed of compassion is kept alive. That tiny seed just might grow into something amazing.

Alana Terry has once again penned a story that transports readers and listeners to a land some might say has been forgotten by God, and yet it is so apparent that He is constantly moving in the lives of it's inhabitants.

I actually read Slave Again about a year ago but jumped at the chance to hear the words and characters come to life. The Audible audiobook was excellent! Alana Terry's great writing is highlighted by the narrator's voice. The spacing between chapters and scenes is very good, easy to follow. I even found myself slipping my Kindle and speaker into my bag wherever I went so that I could listen.

I would note that the book does deal with mature and tense situations so this would probably be a better novel for much older kids and adults. It is, however, not a story to be missed.

Beyond The Waves is a sweet, lovely romance set on the Pacific coast. Taysia and Kylen are two very flawed characters who have made some big mistakes in the past but with faith in God are trying to put the past behind and make something of the future. The question is can they find forgiveness and make a future together? Lynnette Bonner is a talented author who can write both historical and contemporary romances equally as well.

I listened to the Audible edition of this book and really enjoyed it. The narration was good, the voice drawing me further and further into the story. I kept finding every excuse to sneak back to my Kindle and listen for awhile. An overall enjoyable listen.

Organized Grime was two firsts for me. #1. It was the first Audible audiobook I have listened to. #2. It was the first Gabby St. Claire story I have 'read'. And what an introduction! Wow! I am a confirmed fan of Christy Barritt's books and have loved every one that I've read. I can't believe what I've missed in not having read/listened to any of Gabby's stories, you can believe me that I am going to be prowling around on every shelf and device looking for more of them. As for the audiobook part, it was great. The actress reading the story had nice voice that was easy to listen to. I downloaded Organized Grime to my Kindle and I could hardly put it down. I even wound up tucking it into a shoulder bag and carrying it around with me while I did everything. It was a wonderful mystery, filled with Christy Barritt's trademark quirky characters and surprise twists and turns. I had so much fun trying to figure who was involved and why; some of my guesses were spot on but there were some curveballs as well. Organized Grime is an exciting tale of danger and romance that you won't want to miss!
