I liked the story but halfway through it started cutting in and out and I lost interest for a while had to struggle to get back into it because the worst choppiness was in a very interesting dramatic part overall is low because of that

I love Cussler but this story seemed a little too predictable it wasn't as thrilling as the majority of Clive Cusslers other stories I love the Dirk Pitt series they are always interesting I just wish this one had more surprises like the usual twists and turns

as a fellow war veteran of Iraq I feel the pain of these men and the story was told with honor as they deserve some parts are hard to explain but mark bowden did a great job of telling their stories I was surprised to hear that he had no experience with the military after this it makes it that much better a story

I have read a few in the Jack Ryan series this makes me want to go back and get the rest Wow what a story a little dry on the performance but the story held it together

a damn good book the hunt for red October was a thrilling story I saw the movie first and I'm glad I did the movie would be a great let down after the book
