Such beautiful words beautifully performed by the writer. I can totally believe Joy Harjo’s mom was a singer. I can hear that in Ms. Harjo’s performance. She paints a beautiful picture with her words and voice.

My pet peeve is using accents needlessly. We all know the characters are Moroccan. They don’t need accents when speaking among themselves. Maybe when they are actually supposed to be speaking English. It was so annoying I almost stopped listening.
