I stumbled on this little gem by accident on a rainy, dull weekend. The overall story had an interesting premise and a clever albeit disturbing twist.
I have to admit though, I felt like there could be so much more. The last few chapters seemed a bit rushed coming to end and I was expecting more revelations.
The narrator was in a word, incredible. I've seen Jason O'Mara's work, mostly in TV and he's a pretty solid actor, but his performance in this audio was top notch. Every character, personality, nationality was performed seamlessly. I'm surprised he hasn't done more audio readings.
I look forward to reading Book 2, with any luck this could become a fantastic series.

Another winner in this series. I really do enjoy Dirk Maggs' take on the Alien saga.

For those who haven't seen the movies (weird), this episode picks up at the end of Aliens 2 after they escape LV-426 and vanquish the queen alien into space.

The events of this novel however, does not pickup where Ripley, Newt, Hicks and Bishop crash land on the convict colony as in the Aliens 3 movie.

Their escape pod is infiltrated by the Alien as in the 2nd movie, however the craft is intercepted by another exploration spacecraft and Ripley and the others are (Hicks, Newt, Bishop) actually alive.

Though Ripley doesn't play a significant role in the one, the twist however, surrounds the Alien that survived, which adds a whole new dimension the saga.

You can expect Whelan-Yutani's typical ruthlessness to stop at nothing to achieve it's goals. The added bonus of Michael Biehn and Lance Henriksen who played Hicks and Bishop respectively in the movies added authenticity to the narration and made this all the more enjoyable.

This was another great adaptation and makes for a easy if not on edge listen. Alien fans will enjoy!!

I bought this book on a fluke. I was bored and needed something to distract me and glad I used the credit.

I have to admit this was a gem in the rough. Didn't expect to like it but I was caught by dry humor and well paced dialogue.

It's not much different from most PI novels but the plot and performance kept me listening. The narrator did a fantastic job.

I'm definitely getting the rest of the series and add to my summer reading list.

This Follow up in the Hawthorne Series did not disappoint. I had this in my wishlist for months when book 2 was announced.

Rory Kinnear's performance was brilliant as ever. No one captures the uniqueness of each character as he does.

The premise of this mystery was intriguing from the get go. What makes me enjoy these books is how effortlessly Mr. Horowitz intertwines his own real life into fiction.

Hope Book 3 comes soon!!!

A brilliantly written book and incredibly authentic. I'm kicking myself for seeing the movie before reading the book as with almost all of Mr. King's works.

From the first words Frances Sternhagen uttered, I knew I was going to enjoy this listen. A better narrator couldn't have done this justice. She expertly mastered that small town New England accent with the folksy quips to match.

Dolores Claiborne is not what you'd expect from the master of horror. This was raw, emotional and sometimes humorous story of hard working wife and mother who would do anything for her family and held her wit even when faced with the worst.

This was worthwhile listen and easily in the top of the class of Stephen King's writings.

This is my first Stephen King novel, strange but true. I've always been meaning to dabble in his works or watch his movies but just never seemed to get around to it.

The entire plot, though not original, was very well crafted and the characters were relatable and believable. Ron McLarty's delivery of this book was spectacular. He seamlessly wove his way through each character and made the book all the more enjoyable.

Definitely going to make this a Stephen King summer!!

I purchased this book on a whim. I thought for sure that I would return it, considering it dives into the world of psychotherapy but the author did a great job of balancing it with an intriguing story.

The narrators did a very fine job and made the characters seem believable and relatable. At first as the book goes on, you start to feel as though you know what going to happen next, but just as you think you know who did it, you're struck with a curve ball.

Personally, I felt this could have done equally well as a short story but nonetheless it was rather enjoyable. I look forward the author's future work.

I hadn't anticipated such a riveting story in such a short book. This will keep you hooked from start to finish. Well performed with a nice twist on the supernatural. The author did a great job. Truly wish it was much longer.
