I love all of Beatriz Williams books (a Hundred Summers being my favorite), but this one was not to the level of the others.
It was ok, but I won't read (listen) to it again.

What a great summer read. I loved the character development and the story.

Some was predictable, but not in an annoying way.

I would recommend it!

I really think this maybe the strangest and longest book. After it was over, I wasn't sure what to think and I kind of shook my head. Would I recommend? Probably not.

This is one of the books that helped me develop a love for reading. I read it when I was 15 and so going back and reading (listening)!to it many years later, was a unexpected surprise. Listening to the story made the story come alive in a way I never thought. So even if you've read this several time, sit back and listen to it. Very enjoyable!

I loved this book! Loved the narrator, the characters and the heartbreak. If you love history, and WW II, then this is a great fit for you. Told from a different perspective, I didn't know a whole lot about the blitzes in London and the evacuation of Londons children. You feel the after effects for years to come.
