Anna Fox lives alone - a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times...and spying on her neighbors. Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn't, her world begins to crumble. And its shocking secrets are laid bare.

If you could sum up Silent Child in three words, what would they be?

REAL to the CORE

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

It did, however, some of the reviews spoke of the horror the child went "thru" but truly there are really no descriptions, it is more left to the imagination, which works even better.

What does Joanne Froggatt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She makes it real.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listen to it all in one sitting, so I guess this answers the question.

Would you consider the audio edition of A Criminal Defense to be better than the print version?

I did not read the book, can't answer this question.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

It did, it kept me guessing on who else was on that video.

Have you listened to any of Peter Berkrot’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I did not like Peter Berkrot's, I got used to his voice after 3 hours, but I'm sure someone else would have done a better job. Hard to distinguished which character was talking.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did!!! I wanted to know who were the last 2 men on that darn video!!!!

Any additional comments?

I did not know this author, and I loved this book!!! my reaction to finding out who killed the woman, was WHAT???? and truly I LOVED IT... and LOVED the way he finished the book too!!!!
