Terrorists-for-hire have created a weapon that can induce earthquakes and cause dormant volcanoes to erupt. One terrifying side effect of the weapon is that prior to the devastation, the vibrations drive ordinary people to suicide and violence. A wave of madness begins sweeping the country beginning with a mass shooting in Congress. Joe Ledger and his team go on a wild hunt to stop the terrorists and uncover the global superpower secretly funding them. At every step the stakes increase as it becomes clear that the endgame of this campaign of terror is igniting the Yellowstone caldera.

When vampires attack David White's small town, only luck, firepower, and the intervention of an elite government task force saves his life. The aftermath of the attack leaves him in the middle of the world's biggest secret: the existence of government agencies that regulate the supernatural. They insist that David's "luck" is actually a supernatural gift, and he's immediately recruited into ONSET, the most shadowy part of America's thin blue line of police protectors.

I always knew I would love this book from the moment I saw it as I am a huge fan of the topic of zombies and the dead. But the way in which this book kept me coming back and wanted to listen more and more each time! It was amazing!! I felt I could imagine the characters, I would feel what they were feeling and my excitement at the moments of climax and action was of the most extreme feeling! The author is wonderful and the voice actress whom has read this book even helped to further these feelings of euphoria that I felt with this book! I will listen and read this book over and over again until I know it by heart and even then I believe I will always enjoy it!

While serving a life sentence for the murder of a young girl, Jack Unterweger wrote seven books, saw his critically acclaimed autobiography made into a film, and became a cause celebre among influential Austrian literati who successfully campaigned for his release. Riding high on the fame, he arrived in Los Angeles where he nurtured his career as a journalist. Then, one by one, Hollywood prostitutes started turning up dead. Unterweger covered the story. There was a reason why his reporting of the crimes seemed so vivid.
