I'm surprised no other reviews mentioned the random pause and narrator talking to someone at 10:30 into the book? I wanted to get past it, but it was so distracting.

The fact that I had this book in my wish list for months makes it all the more disappointing. I was really looking forward to the sophomore release to the "Hating Game" by Sally Thorne but this book fell short of expectations. The characters had few redeeming qualities and it read very immature and contrived. I found myself looking for the next book and not hearing large passages without missing anything interesting.

Wonderful as always. I thought we would get further in the main plot and these excerpts seemed more like filler, but honestly the writing and narration never disappoint. When is the next one?

I mainly listened to this book to get to #3, but I could have skipped it. These aren't the most compelling charachters, however my biggest complaint is the audio quality which in part may be due to the narrator's whispering. In comparison to other audio at the same volume setting, this one is hard to hear.

I'm thoroughly entertained by the characters as always, but if there is any story that needs a time jump- it's this one. When you think about the fact that less than 6 months has passed in the story, it's hard to believe that it has taken 70 listening hours and 5 years to get there. Well not 5 years since I discovered the series personally, but by release date. Still... it's difficult to stay invested in the story over that much time, but I will do my best!

One thing that can be said about Lili Valente- she doesn't follow trypical romance tropes even within the same series, which I appreciate!

This was probably the most unremarkable storyline from Lauren I've ever read and/or listened to- it reminded me of penning an essay because you have to get a grade, not because you're particularly invested in the characters or the outcome. This story should have been summarized as a subplot or captured as conversations between Harper and Abby in Mister O. It definitely wasn't a story worth it's own credit. Looking forward to the next full length story and not filler!

I'm not sure what I expected when I began listening to this series, but I am hooked! It's smart, witty, and engaging. The narrator is stellar as Fred and I can't wait to hear what's next..... hopefully soon!

I can't say enough good things about Mariana Zapata's writing. I appreciate that the women are always dynamic and thoughtful but it would be nice if the men had the same depth. The story had just enough storylines to make the book plausible and a real "page turner" so to speak while the development of Vanessa and Aiden's relationship- although a quirky premise- was still sweet and organic. I know spinoffs really aren't Mariana's style, but I would love to hear Zach's story as a follow up!

I loved the narrators and K.A.'s overall writing style as usual, but I could never connect with Amber's whining and offense to anyone whom had made mistakes in their past. I read the first book in the series and thought some of Amber's determination, self awareness, and drive would show itself here, but it never did. It felt as if the she waited for things to happen to her and react instead of making any decisions on her own - a character trait i find extremely tedious to listen to. Hopefully Ivy's story will be more of an active character.
