Grace Warner spends her days teaching four sections of Beowulf for Cretins to bored students at one of New England's “hidden ivy” colleges. Not long after she is dumped by her longtime girlfriend, Grace meets the engaging and mysterious Abbie on a cross-country flight. Sparks fly on and off the plane as the two strangers give in to one night of reckless passion with no strings attached and no contact information exchanged. Back home at St. Albans, the college rocks Grace's world when it announces the appointment of a new president, the first woman in its 165-year history: Abbie.

I love all of Ann McMan’s books. She brings genuineness to all of her quirky characters! I almost started listening to this again as soon as I finished it. As in The Jericho series you will love the characters of St. Albans! I highly recommend this book. I would have given it 10 stars if I could. Christine Williams brings truth to all characters and is spot on!

I liked the characters and the theme of this story. I’m a lesbian and I don’t know much about hockey so I could relate to the Doc. The narration was smooth and concise. I would recommend this story to any romance enthusiast.

I first read Open Tab and had a pretty good picture of the characters. Jill Smith was spot on with her capture of all the characters! Anyone who is a fan of JA Armstrong or Nancy Ann Healy will love this book. It’s set In Vermont which is only a few states away and I wish I’d lived in a small town. Can’t wait for the next installment. Brava!

Ms Wade is a prolific writer. Three Times as Deadly was the three times as thrilling. The story was fast paced and the main character reminded me of a female version of Indiana Jones and MacGyver all rolled into one. The ending will surprise you. Susan Marlow did an excellent job narrating. I hope to see these two main characters again.

Jinx Tanner is an ex-con trying to piece together a life on the outside and heal her relationship with her half-sister who hasn't spoken to her in over 25 years. Romantic love is nowhere on her radar. E. J. Bastien is a business executive with her life and heart under control. She has a successful career, a woman in her bed whenever she wants one, and a healthy relationship with her grown children - as long as they don't find out she's gay. She has no desire for romantic entanglements.

Lucy Danaher was born into a life of privilege and has always enjoyed the view from the top. She spends her days running Global NewsWire, a Fortune 500 company, and her nights at all the trendy San Diego hot spots. When the Union-Tribune decides to run a feature story on her company, Lucy's thrilled to oblige with an interview. But when the reporter arrives, it turns out the story she's writing is anything but flattering. The fact that she's irritatingly gorgeous only adds salt to the wound.

I really like Melissa Brayden' stories. This short revisited characters from Heart Block. It was nice to see Emory and Sara again. I only have one criticism about all her books. She uses the word prior too much. It may not bother anyone else but it does me. But don't let that stop you from listening.

I would give this book 10 stars in all the categories if I could have. But, alas I only had five. The performers were excellent, the subject matter important and gives you pause. It is about racism and white supremacy. Very relevant especially in light of The Black Lives Matter movement. I don't give spoiler alerts but I will give a tissue alert and an anger with swearing alert. Excellent!
