When small-town Nebraska sheriff Hixon Drake meets Greta Dare, the connection couldn't be stronger, but the timing couldn't be worse. Dealing with the fallout of a divorce he never wanted and setting up a new home for his kids, Hix becomes that guy, that one he never wanted to be, and puts a stop to things before they can even start. Protecting his kids and himself is his only priority. Greta, on the other hand, has found the place for her and the brother she adores that's perfect for them - a sleepy little town in Nebraska.
Complicated was a pleasure to my senses!

Don't waste your money
Before I bought this book I read the reviews. One review I should've paid more attention to. The reviewer said that she's not a prude but she found some of the language over the top and at times hard to hear. I agree 100%. Honestly I thought, how over-the-top could it be because I am far, far from a prude. But it got old listening to how he was going in graphic and vivid detail to "f… "her and how his "dick" kept getting hard, etc. If you enjoy t hearing this over and over and over then this is the book for you. If you're looking for a book that has romantic overtones and has a subsidence storyline that this is not for you. Don't waste your money but more importantly don't waste your time.

Someone had set them both up. Now, handcuffed together, bounty hunter Jack Dakota and bail jumper M. J. O'Leary were on the run from a pair of hired killers. And M. J. wasn't talking--not even when Jack found a gigantic blue diamond hidden in her purse. Everything told Jack the sexy skip he'd been hired to recover couldn't be trusted...everything, that is, but his heart.

Disappointed, don't waste your money. Horrible narration, same story as previous book just different characters. Boring.
The narrator was horrible, and the story was pretty much the same as the first book with the blue diamond just different characters.
Poorly written and surprised this is a Nora Roberts book.
Don't waste your money.
