December 1941: Manila is invaded, and US citizen and Philippines Airlines manager Pappy Gunn is ordered to fly key military command out of the country, leaving his family at home. So Gunn was miles away when the Japanese captured his wife and children, placing them in an internment camp where they faced disease, abuse, and starvation. Gunn spent three years trying to rescue them. His exploits became legend as he revolutionized the art of air warfare, devising his own weaponry, missions, and more.

This book was such an amazing surprise. I literally sit in bed listening every night until I could no longer fight off sleep. I listened at work, while I drove, while I got ready in the mornings.... it was hard to pull myself away from this amazing tale. I whole heartedly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed.

In 2011, a 26-year-old libertarian programmer named Ross Ulbricht launched the ultimate free market: the Silk Road, a clandestine website hosted on the Dark Web where anyone could trade anything - drugs, hacking software, forged passports, counterfeit cash, poisons - free of the government's watchful eye. It wasn't long before the media got wind of the new website where anyone - not just teenagers and weed dealers but terrorists and black hat hackers - could buy and sell contraband detection-free.

I couldn’t stop listening...my wife would wake up late at night beside me as I still listened. I stayed in my truck after I had arrived at my destination listening. You both cheer for and revile the protagonist! Truly a brilliant book!
