So when the handsome, popular Riley Stinson became her boyfriend in high school, she finally felt as though she had something to be proud of. Phoenix was desperate not to lose him - especially once she found out that she was pregnant. Yes, she might have acted a bit obsessive when he broke up with her. But she did not run down the girl he started dating next. Unfortunately there was no way to prove her innocence.

I enjoyed the series. Just like the rest of the series, this book had me from the beginning. The performer however was distracting to say the least. When performing the thoughts and words of the various characters, she was so over-the-top that it almost made you not like the characters. She tends to be overly emphatic. Probably better in written form.

I'm an avid recording books reader. I've also been a fan of Danielle Steel for many many years. Unfortunately while the narrator did a good job, the content felt like it was phoned in. The text repeated things over and over again. I would say that the plot was reiterated in every single chapter. While I liked the story, I felt that it treated the reader like they weren't paying attention to previous content or that the content was to difficult to understand. Relationships didn't build, just explained in past tense. Very disappointed.

The only negative comment I have is about the narrator. His manly voice is awesome, but his female voice sounds shrewish and grating. All the females sound alike, and you tend to not want to like them based on the sound of the voice. Other than that, it's a fantastic read!

I was eagerly anticipating this book. The first half felt very repetitive as things were said over and over chapter after chapter. The last half was long drawn out sex scenes. At the heart of the story, it was good, but too much fluff left me disappointed. Narrator mispronounces names from book to book, and that's irritating.

The author writes for men like they think and speak like women. She also gives more information than is needed and it strips the imagination of the reader. The performance was very distracting. While the actor has a great natural voice, his character voices sound like puny, old men. This is at odds with the descriptions and actions of the men in the story. Pass on this one.
