Everyone in the quiet Jersey Shore town of Silver Bay knows the story: on a Sunday evening in September 1991, Ramsey Miller threw a blowout block party, then murdered his beautiful wife and three-year-old daughter. But everyone is wrong. The daughter got away. Now she is nearly eighteen and tired of living in secrecy. Under the name Melanie Denison, she has spent the last fifteen years in small-town West Virginia as part of the Witness Protection Program. She has never been allowed to travel, go to a school dance, or even have internet at home. Precautions must be taken at every turn, because Ramsey Miller was never caught and might still be looking for his daughter.

Really enjoyed this book but many chapters are diary entries from the deceased girl's father. Because of this, It takes about 4-5 Chapters to really get into some action. Once you do though, very interesting! I would recommend, just be patient.

The ending was so abrupt I was shocked. It was like you were finally building up to the real story and then it was over. The story started out good and narration was great but the story line sucked. DO NOT BUY THIS, I was very disappointed.

On the day she was abducted, Annie O’Sullivan, a 32-year-old Realtor, had three goals: sell a house, forget about a recent argument with her mother, and be on time for dinner with her ever-patient boyfriend. The open house is slow, but when her last visitor pulls up in a van as she’s about to leave, Annie thinks it just might be her lucky day after all.

What did you love best about Still Missing?

This book has everything I look for in an abduction story! The book developed the characters well, had an epic twist and was suspenseful. Warning, it is definitely a little graphic but totally worth it! I was hooked!

What other book might you compare Still Missing to and why?

If you liked this book I would also recommend the following:

Stolen: by lucy Christopher
This book takes a while to get into but by the end of it you are totally confused about your own feelings and relate to her desire for him against your better instincts. This read left me feeling sad and empty.

Abducted: By T Ragan
This was great because it was a fast listen and really easy to get into. While the plot was not as thick or intelligent as still missing, It is a great engaging listen.

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her main character was actually intelligent which was a welcome change.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely!
