Emerson, Georgia, and Marley have been best friends ever since they met at a weight-loss camp as teens. When Emerson tragically passes away, she leaves one final wish for her best friends: to conquer the fears they still carry as adults. For Marley, it's coming to terms with the survivor's guilt she's carried around since her twin sister's death, which has left her blind to the real chance for romance in her life. For Georgia, it's learning to stop trying to live up to her mother's and brother's ridiculous standards and learning to accept love.

Harper Frost is laid back, easygoing. She doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. She likes a beer and a shot and wouldn't be caught dead wearing anything fashionable. She's inherited her father's run-down house on Martha's Vineyard, but she can't hold down a job, and her latest romantic disaster has the entire island talking. Tabitha Frost is dignified, refined. She prefers a fine wine and has inherited the impeccable taste of her mother, the iconic fashion designer Eleanor Roxie-Frost.

She had the perfect man, the perfect job-hell, she had the perfect life - and there was no reason to think it wouldn't last. Or maybe there was, but Jen Lancaster was too busy being manicured, pedicured, highlighted, and generally adored to notice.

Any woman who has climbed the corporate ladder in the 80’s & 90’s will LOVE this book! It’s a Must Read for you. I have even purchased this book as Christmas gifts for dear friends. I giggled out loud throughout the book. In reading the negative reviews prior to my purchase, all I can say is, “you all just don’t get it and never will.”

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bitter Is the New Black?

Too many to list, but the relationship between Jen and Fletch is very special. I think Jen is a very lucky lady.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, any woman who has worked very hard for her place in the business world will love this book. And for those bad reviews of this book, I bet you have never worked in a competitive market in your life.

Any additional comments?

Looking forward to reading all of Jen Lancaster's books.
