There's nowhere to hide on the world's first moon base. After all, it's only the size of a soccer field. So when Nina Stack, the commander of Moon Base Alpha, mysteriously vanishes, the Moonies are at a total loss. Though he may be just 12 years old, Dashiell Gibson is the best detective they've got. But this confusing mystery pushes Dash to his limits. Especially since Dash accidentally made contact with an alien and has to keep it a secret.

Excellent story, great narration! The first past had set very high expectation, and this second part surely lives up to it!

But when Master decides to sell Sally and her brother, the family escapes to seek shelter with a tribe of Seminoles who are rumored to adopt runaway slaves. Bought this book for my 7 year old, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. This is not a light or funny book (although it has its moments), but a great introduction to the period when slavery was prevalent in our country. The struggles of the slaves are nicely woven into the story. And the narration by Asmeret Ghebremichael takes the experience to a totally different level!
