He's death from the sky, ready to strike. He never compromises, never lets go, never settles for second best when it comes to his offspring. He's the Apache. With his nose-mounted sensor, night vision system, and 30mm chain gun, Simon Halder isn't your average helicopter dad, and when Island, the daughter he thought he had lost, reappears after eight months of captivity, someone's gonna have to pay.

This is a great little novella to hold over all you March and Island fans until book 5. If it's lacking, it's because what makes the pair so great is how they work through the life and death situations that they find themselves. But there are still plenty of places to laugh and enjoy the characters conversations.

Island Chaptal - nerdy IT engineer by day, romance novel junkie by night - just walked into her messy New York apartment to find Mr. Right waiting for her. No, wait...Mr. Clean. A gentleman professional killer with a bad case of OCD and zero tolerance for unsorted laundry, March isn't there to kill her...yet. He wants the diamond her late mother stole for a sinister criminal organization. Island agrees to help him find it, facing the kind of adversaries who dismember first and ask questions later. Good thing she's got March to show her the ropes. And the guns. And the knives.

I was looking for a new series to read and came across this completely by accident. The summary sounded interesting so I tried t out! This will, I’m sure become on of my favorite series. It’s smart, funny, sweet and romantic!! Island is a cheeky girl, smart and brave, even when she is terrified. March is smart but flawed and he knows it, and handles it the best he can. I laughed at so many scenes (almost getting me in trouble as I was listening to it at the office). Definitely give it a go!

It’s Gin Blanco's party - and you’ll cry if she wants you to. Against her better judgment, Gin is coerced into attending a high-society gala with the rest of Ashland's elite underworld. On display: the priceless art collection of her deceased nemesis, Mab Monroe, and an excess of crime-boss swagger. While not comfortable in her fancy attire, Gin gets vastly more interested in the evening’s events when a group of thieves bursts in and tries to seize the valuable, dangerous gems.

This was a nice change from the typical plot. More character info more magic and a very interesting ending. Looking forward to read the next in the series.
