Dalinar Kholin's Alethi armies won a fleeting victory at a terrible cost. The enemy Parshendi summoned the violent Everstorm, which now sweeps the world with destruction and in its passing awakens the once peaceful and subservient parshmen to the horror of their millennia-long enslavement by humans. While on a desperate flight to warn his family of the threat, Kaladin Stormblessed must come to grips with the fact that the newly kindled anger of the parshmen may be wholly justified.

It is starting to feel like he is sragging the story out a bit. It was not as fast moving, action packed, or exciting as previous books in my opinion.

If the past is prologue, then George R. R. Martin's masterwork - the most inventive and entertaining fantasy saga of our time - warrants one hell of an introduction. At long last, it has arrived with The World of Ice & Fire. This volume is a comprehensive history of the Seven Kingdoms, providing vividly constructed accounts of the epic battles, bitter rivalries, and daring rebellions that lead to the events of A Song of Ice and Fire and HBO's Game of Thrones.

Would you try another book from the authors and/or Roy Dotrice and Nicholas Guy Smith ?

I had no problems with the voice actors. I wish they had been given dialogue to work with.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Walking Dead

Which scene was your favorite?

Very few good scenes to choose from.

What character would you cut from The World of Ice & Fire?

There was no dialogue to help build characters, just notes about the world.

Any additional comments?

It really seems like George RR Martin hired these guys to put together some kind of a book based on his notes. The book was repetitive, boring, and didn't even include short stories. This is by far the worst book I've ever listened to or read. I would recommend you save your time and money, and listen to anything else!
