This was a great book. I think it was great start to finish. I did not like the outcome for the “side chick” I am never ever rooting for the side chick. I was hoping it ended slightly different.

Good read but the protagonist was driving me crazy! I think the author did a great job of showing how a confused woman with shattered self confidence will go back for more and more. I enjoyed the book over all and I too fell hard for Mercy!

Overall, the book is good if this is just the first or second book of Lisa Gardner's books that you have read; you will be very impressed. For someone such as myself that has read everything she has ever written.... I was unimpressed bored and it was hard to make it through it. Her books are starting to sound just a like. I like Kirsten Potter as a narrator for DD Warren but they should have chosen someone else for the other characters. She did the exact same voice for each character and at times this confused me. Story was just ok...characters were predictable and just like ither charcters from other stories of Lisa's.

She loved keeping Daddy's special secrets, but many family members, especially her mother, consider her an accomplice in helping break up their family. This emotional distance and Lauren's early dating experiences lead her to date married men.
