I like some Susan Mallery books (spec. The Best of Friends, the Lonestar Sister Series and Sizzling) but this one was slow and boring.

It's the stuff dreams are made of. Hollywood discovers a South Carolina orphan, Honey Jane Moon, and makes her a star. She lives a roller-coaster life. Now, though, she's all grown up, a child star no longer, but still dramatic and passionate. Two men, Dash Coogan, a cowboy movie legend, and Eric Dillion, the town's bad boy, know how fiercely she loves and lives. What Honey wants is the family she never had. She'll take the man who latches onto her dreams and who can hang on for the ride!

This was a well written story with good character development. I'd be interested to see if this book becomes part of a series.

Really bad. The narration wasn't great but the writing was worse. The 5th book was the best of the series.

Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

Initially, the book was funny and presented a unique perspective on vampire life BUT ultimately it was clear that it was more like running commentary about vampire life in KY minus the interesting narrative. Not worth the $$.
