Mike Daisey is a fierce storyteller, one minute hilarious, the next minute sweet, with a fine-tuned ear for digression. He circles in on his uneasy subject matter, closer and closer, until he exposes the raw heart. The New York Times calls him "the master storyteller" and he has been compared to Garrison Keillor, Spalding Gray, and David Sedaris.

If you like what you hear from the sample go with your instincts and buy this book. Hilarious and genuine and interesting.
This title is one of the best in the Fiction series.
I'm not the sort of person that would normally buy a comedy audiobook but this really is something different from the usual sitcom-style stuff.

There is some great poems here. But I feel many of the best are let-down by the choice of narrator. A little frustrating, but basically a good book that achieves what it sets out to do.

some good stuff here, but also several poems chosen more perhaps for historical/national importance than actual poetic quality.

On his deathbed, Franz Kafka asked that all his unpublished manuscripts be burned. Fortunately, his request was ignored, allowing such works as The Trial to earn recognition among the literary masterpieces of the 20th century. This brilliant new translation of The Castle captures comedic elements and visual imagery that earlier interpretations missed.

I found the narration to be very good. Kafka is, as ever, wonderfully clever, funny and *unique*. But it is hard to keep up with sometimes. This audiobook surpassed my expectations. Excellent!

I can't remark on the quality of the translation that another reviewer has complained about. I have read the standard english version and this seems to be the same.
