Discover the benefits of being positive. We all have two dogs inside of us. One dog is positive, happy, optimistic, and hopeful. The other dog is negative, mad, sad, pessimistic, and fearful. These two dogs often fight inside us, but guess who wins the fight? The one you feed the most. So begins the story about a negative mutt named Matt and a big dog named Bubba who teaches him how to feed himself with positivity each day and in the process Matt transforms his own life and the shelter they call home.

Some have called him "Lawrence of Afghanistan". To the Pashtun tribesmen he is "Commander Jim", leader of the "bearded ones". He is Army Special Forces Major Jim Gant, one of the most charismatic and controversial U.S. commanders of modern memory, a man who changed the face of America's war in Afghanistan when his critical white paper, "One Tribe at a Time", went viral at the Pentagon, the White House, and on Capitol Hill in 2009.

This book is the epitome of the looking glass into the unconventional approach to modern warfare, and a Warrior's word to serve his country and the people who need his help the most. The story is of hope, love, betrayal, and demise, but packed full of life and leadership lessons throughout.

The narrators give an amazing performance, the story is well written and easy to follow as it jumps back into time with recalling past events. Excellent account of the way forward to progress the relationships with the Afghan people, and the military leaders who thwarted and stalled its progress.

I'm not a religious person at all, and I loved this book. Through the story, you keep hearing references of "Him" and "God" and at first it bothered me. But then IT happened.... In the story you are reminded that faith isn't about religion, it's about your relationship with whatever you believe in. I thoroughly appreciate that about this book.

In other topics, the story is great and does outline plenty of traits of achievers and successful people. It demonstrates how all that is not accomplished by one person, but all those around that person as well.

It was a great scenario for any business that has deadlines with at least a small group of employees.

The laws are great, and I would urge you to go back through the book a second time and listen to each individual day of the character's (Joe) life and implement the laws a day at a time to really grasp the ideas provided.

Great narration. Great listen/read. Great message!
