I've read Sue Grafton since the 1980s and consider her the best mystery writer since Agatha Christie. Kinsey Millhone, private eye is smart, funny, and very good at her job.
I patiently awaited each new novel the first time around, reread most of the early ones, then started over with Audible when we lost Sue last year.
Perhaps I hope to find a hint to how it would have all ended with "Z"; something we will never know.
I love hearing the books in "Kinsey's voice", as Judy Kaye is absolutely perfect as Kinsey.
RIP, dear Sue.....gone but never forgotten. I will pass my collection along to my granddaughter who will love Kinsey and friends as much as I.

Excellent! We loved Lucy and Desi!

I read this book when it was published in the 1970’s, and very much enjoyed the first person narration of the amazing life of Desi Arnaz.
When I saw it was available on Audible, I listened to a small part, and knew it would be enjoyable read by someone with a similar voice. Juan Pablo Di Pace was excellent!
Desi Arnaz was a creative genius. What would TV be without him? We would not have had “I Love Lucy” and so many of the great old shows to enjoy in syndication without Desi’s inventions.
Any Lucy and Desi fan will like this in depth story of their life and love.

A wonderful biography of Sue Grafton & Kinsey too!

I read this book when it came out several years ago and enjoyed it very much. It was half biography and half short stories. When it was offered on Audible, I was ready to enjoy it a second time. The narrator Judy Kaye was great, and she really brought life to Sue's life and stories. Judy was the perfect voice of Kinsey.
I miss Sue Grafton and am, as are all of her fans, still grieving the loss of this wonderful author. I am also grieving the loss of her terrific characters, Kinsey Milhone, Henry and his family, and the various oddballs who came and went, as we will never know how life played out for them.
It was the final Kinsey mystery, not having a "Z". Sue Grafton...."Gone but not forgotten".

I just discovered Dennis Lehane and I am excited to find a new author who writes my favorite genre. I first read book one of his series, then “Mystic River” which I very much enjoyed.
The narrator was excellent which made the story a real “page turner”.

I first read this book about 15 years ago and very much enjoyed it, but it really came to life when I listened to it narrated by Karen Cummings.
Margaret Mitchell was a strange little woman who was quite selfish. If she had channeled as much energy into writing another novel or a book of short stories as she did trying to avoid fame, she might have been happier. She was very self-absorbed.
I ordered more books by Anne Edwards after reading this one "with my ears".
I highly recommend this detailed account of the life of Margaret Mitchell to fans of Gone with the Wind.

Excellent! A real nail biter! Well read too.
