For two long terrifying years, Sakhi Borren, and her beloved brother Reve, are headed to live at The Complex. An enclosed metal and concrete manufactured world on the barren planet Lorn, the Complex is some government's version of a good idea. Its sole purpose is to "heal the rifts between warring races" - a joke if ever Sakhi heard one. If she and her brother can survive to the end, they'll leave, far richer. In the meantime, all they can look forward to is co-existing with criminals and the scumbags known as Metas.

Where does Night Whispers rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I enjoyed this story. The main character is very likable. The world building was great and the story line was easy to follow even though I am not familiar with the world the story was set in. Supernatural and human lives side by side. Instead of serving time for a petty crime, Sakhi and her brother, Rave, are given the option to live in The Complex. Hoping to make it through and out with a stipend to start new lives, they move in. Drama, violence, shaky romance, and discoveries are made. I enjoyed the story and action. It didn't drag and was a great blend of sci-fi and fantasy. The narrator did well and represented each character uniquely.

What did you like best about this story?

What about Lynn Norris’s performance did you like?

The narrator did a great job of

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Supernatural fun and danger with mystery, violence, and family ties thrown in.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I'm glad the author provided his personal journey, but I felt he sometimes promoted his own work a bit too often.

Would you recommend 50 Fitness Tips You Wish You Knew to your friends? Why or why not?

The facts and tips provided are fairly typical if you've read basic health information. Some new tips that I will definitely use. I think this would be a great book for those just starting out and wanting to learn how to improve their health.

What made the experience of listening to Blades of Magic: Crown Service, Book 1 the most enjoyable?

This book rocked this reader's socks! The narrator was fantastic. I'm a big fan of how this author's fantasy writing style and her characters. The story flowed very well and didn't drag on detail or plot line. The action was never ending and the world building lovely. The young heroine is one tough, but vulnerable chick and her side kick, a rag-a-muffin treasure hunter/thief is insanely entertaining.

Sara is a fighter and mage with blisteringly strong battle magic. She takes on the job of watching a rather shady "collector's"s magical baubles and weapons. She befriends the curator. They then have a whirlwind of fights and discoveries about Sara's deceased father that eventually leads them to the battleground. Mysteries are uncovered and more arise. Our heroine has many choices to make and may just learn what she is capable of.

Pick up this book and be entertained and engrossed with this great YA Fantasy novel!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sara. She's tough and a well built character.

What about Sylvia Roldn Dohi’s performance did you like?

Her narration was easy to follow.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.
