Don't like this narrator. The voice is too husky, grumpy and old. The excitment is there in this book or I'd have given it 1 star. Talk about a disfunctional family. Dani is a bitch and I want her to be eaten, or at least shreaded by the skin of the Meg , I'm not done with the book so there is hope. Terry is an idiot and it's okay if she dies too. I love Mac so there is hope otherwise all characters suck in this episode.
Do I get the fourth book? or skip to six?

Sometime when you start a new book by a new-to-you author, you have hopes and expectations that the book will be at least as good as the blurb and if you are very very lucky you find a new favorite author that writes what makes you want more. I found that in Libby Drew. I'm only on chapter three and I can't imagine how this author can mess this up.

I signed up for Audibles' Romance Package and have not regretted it. I spend my spare time learning what type of books I love to read, the character types that are my favorites, the exact genre that appeals and makes me smile. I know this is sounding like a commercial for the Romance Package, but my point is, it has opened up an easier way for me to choose what types of books I will truly enjoy and it has introduced me to many new authors and narrators to spend my credits on. I'm loving this.

I started with her Colorado Mountain series and The Gamble was right up there with the rest. I like that Ashley doesn't stick with the 20 year olds, being in my 60's I like an older H/H.

But one person wasn't satisfied with the shockingly high death toll at the DownEast Mall. And as the survivors slowly heal, find shelter, and rebuild, they will discover that another conspirator is lying in wait - and this time, there might be nowhere safe to hide.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Well, maybe I'll listen to the last chapter to find out if there is going to be a double cross. The problem might be that I LOVED Mark Watney. Now, that is one of my binge listens. As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

Susan Stoker is new to me and I like her so much I gobbled up all of her books and got what Audible has. Why? because she seems to be working her way through every possible issue humans face and as a bonus...she has Navy Seals, Delta Force and every kind of First Responders out there doing their thing and saving the girl and making their corner of the world safe. I love that she deals with wonderful strong women and some learning and trying to be strong living with some of the harshness life has dealt them. Being blind, agoraphobic, stuttering we've got computer nerds, being too thin and being heavy and losing weight with its problems, missing limbs and women kidnapped by terrorists, epilepsy, burn victims, breast cancer, facial scars and scars elsewhere. Susan has and probably will cover whatever ails us because she will never run out of material. She has a formula but with each problem, she uncovers and exposes you learn something about the other person and walking in their shoes. Her stories are never boring or the same. You become invested in the characters and who will enter their lives. I like that they are not perfect. After all none of us are. We all have our own issues. Romance and love are not perfect, we all carry our own load of problems whether they show or not.

Thank you, Susan, for sharing your gift and exposing me to another way of living.
