I really like historical fiction, romances and am a sucker for a good mystery! So overall this had everything i need in a good book. Sure there are some issues- very few female characters, some details that are off for the time period, etc. As well it is a very long book. However none of these issues bothered me enough to dislike the book! I would, however, have enjoyed a little more of the relationship between Matthew and Rachel.

This book had a lot of potential. I don't regret the download, but only recommend it if time travel is of interest to you. It starts with a potential couple (that you crave more interaction between but don't get til the very end and only barely then), undercover government agency (the conversations played out through interagency memos and online messages are really funny at times and had some laugh out loud moments for me), but overall i found the time travel premise somewhat confusing and eventually boring, consisting of multiple mini adventures some of which having little to no bearing on the overall plot of the book. I really think they could cut out a whole 10 hours of the story a handful of characters and have a much better read.

Mattie Ross, a 14-year-old girl from Dardanelle, Arkansas, sets out to avenge her Daddy who was shot to death by a no-good outlaw. Mattie convinces one-eyed "Rooster" Cogburn, the meanest U.S. marshal in the land, to ride along with her. In True Grit, we have a true American classic, as young Mattie, as vital as she is innocent, outdickers and outmaneuvers the hard-bitten men of the trail in a legend that will last through the ages.

As one of Hollywood's A-listers, I have the movie industry in the palm of my hand. But if I'm going to stay at the top, my playboy image needs an overhaul. No more tabloid headlines. No more parties. And absolutely no more one-night stands. Filming for my latest blockbuster takes place on the coast of Maine, and I'm determined to stay out of trouble. But trouble finds me when I run into Lana Kelly.

I rarely say this, but too much sex without enough storyline or character development to make it enjoyable. Easy, quick, fluffy romance read, but nothing to take away from it.

The story was good and along the same lines as all of KA Tucker's books. Female voice was great as well, but the male lead was awful! Actually, i will correct myself, it isn't that he is awful, he is just the absolute wrong fit for the character. His voice sounds like a pervy, nerdy guy in his mid-40s- nothing like the character he was supposed to be portraying!. It was almost too creepy to listen to!
