Before the birth of the universe, there existed your Original Face, the limitless Self that has been present throughout the unfolding of inert matter into life - and that continues to dwell within us at every level of consciousness. Where is this grand evolution taking us, and how can each of us participate in it more fully? On Kosmic Consciousness, Ken Wilber invites you to find out. Since the first publication of his groundbreaking ideas at the age of 23, Ken Wilber has sought to bring together the world's far-ranging spiritual teachings, philosophies, and scientific truths into one coherent and all-embracing vision.

I'm impressed and equally grateful that this event was recorded (and so well) and made available to the public. My consciousness, I feel, has evolved from just having been present to the contents and conversations herein.

In this lecture, Dr. Hawkins provides a lot of insight about the ego, about emotions, and about being “wronged” and the grim satisfaction we get from all that. The payoff gets bigger as we evolve spiritually, and then the tempter of the ego appears to constantly test us. He explains what the source is and why it stays with us.

Highly insightful. A great listen while driving, though definitely one you'll want to take notes while listening.
Download a voice recorder so you can pause the book, speak your notes, then resume with the book.

Addressing the age-old question "What is real?", Dr. Hawkins discloses many levels of reality, and how what is real at one level is not real at the next. So what is real? Does reality exist independently of observation? And what if emotions have nothing to do with reality? We mentally process and edit products of the linear world, so all information is tentative at best. Dr. Hawkins also reveals the life-altering declaration made by under 1% of humanity. He explains the difference between reality and truth, and how to increase the likelihood of making choices that lead toward truth.
