Lady Phoebe Johansen embarks upon her first season with two goals in mind - to remain unwed and scandal-free in London. It isn't that she is against marriage, and if her situation were different, she would welcome the opportunity for love and children. It is just not practical. Unfortunately, her older brother is smothering any chances she has of actually enjoying the season out of fear her impetuous nature will land her in predicaments more ruinous than the physical mishaps she had suffered at home.

Walt has a mysterious box hidden in his safe. He has been told it contains a device that can be either a blessing or a curse to mankind depending on who possesses it. Dr. Skinner comes to Kansas City and convinces Walt that he will use the device for altruistic endeavors. But others covet the device for more clandestine purposes. It is the classic confrontation of good vs. evil. The question is: Which one will possess the device in the end?

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. I absolutely love this series! In this book, we FINALLY learn what was in the mysterious box Walt got in book #32. I'm not going to spoil it for you, you'll have to get this book to find out! As with all of the Lady Justice books, Robert Thornhill has delivered another great book. I honestly don't know how he keeps coming up with this stuff but hope that he never stops. This book had twists, turns, laughs, and moments where I was left wondering if this might be Walt's last caper.

I'm breaking up with setups. No more “you should meet my son, nephew, grandson, the butcher, the guy down the street who mows my lawn.” People mean well, but machines know better, so I'll rely on the great dating algorithms of the web to find my ideal man, thank you very much. Soon enough, it looks like I’ve found him - his screen name is Lucky Suit, and he’s hilarious, quick-witted, and full of heart. But when we finally get together in person, I have the distinct feeling I’ve met him before. Funny enough - he says the same thing about me.

I loved this book. It's a sweet rom-com with lots of witty dialogue, tons of romance, off-screen sex, and NO cliffhanger! I found myself with a huge grin many times while listening to this book. It was so good that I couldn't stop and consumed it in one sitting.

This book was okay and I enjoyed it. At least as much as you can when watching a movie or TV show with a blindfold on. This book has a soundtrack so you hear a fight but can't figure out what's going on or who is winning. If you enjoy that sort of thing then this book is for you. The story itself was pretty good but would have been much more enjoyable as a movie or TV show. Personally, I prefer to SEE the action. Not hear it but not have any explanation of what's happening.

I loved this book. There's tons of HOT romance and sex, a bit of mystery and suspense, and a satisfying end. My only complaint was with the narrator, Heddie Hall. She used the same voice for all of the characters thoughts. That was fine for Sam but very confusing when it was supposed to be Gabe or Tristan. Also, the voices for the men were so similar it was difficult to determine which character was speaking.

This book was not what I expected. The performance was okay but would have been better suited to a TV show or movie. Imagine you're watching a TV show but go into another room where you can still hear it clearly but cannot see the screen. THAT'S exactly what you get with this book. If I could have SEEN what was happening it might have made a lot more sense. As it was, I'm thoroughly confused.

It's June in Montreal, and Dr. Temperance Brennan, who has left a shaky marriage back home in North Carolina to take on the challenging assignment of Director of Forensic Anthropology for the province of Quebec, looks forward to a relaxing weekend in beautiful Quebec City. First, though, she must stop at a newly uncovered burial site in the heart of the city. The remains are probably old and only of archeological interest, but Tempe must make sure they're not a case for the police. One look at the decomposed and decapitated corpse, stored neatly in plastic bags, tells her she'll spend the weekend in the crime lab.

The author provided me with a complimentary copy of this audiobook with no expectation of a review. This book was a VERY slow build and, frankly, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to finish it. First, there are so many French words and phrases that I almost feel there should be a requirement to be fluent in French before diving into this book. Some of them are translated but not all. Second, there were a lot of street and city names included so it seemed almost like a travelogue. Finally, there was almost too much detail given (especially about things not relevant to the story, IMO).

I was at least 20 chapters in before this book was finally able to hold my attention. By the end of chapter 35 (out of 43), I was fully engrossed in the story. I don't know if I will continue with the series. I very am leery of wasting money or credits on the next book in the series so I will DEFINITELY be listening to the sample to see if it appears to be the same as this book. If it is, it will most likely be a hard pass.

I wouldn't buy the rest of the books in the series but would consider using credits for them. Maybe the rest of the series is better than this one.
