"Morning Glory" is one of two of my favorite books. I read it at least once a year. My eyes are getting a little weak so when I found the abridge version, I was excited. But I found I didn't like it as much. It's the details and nuances that LaVyrle Spencer puts into the story that I love.

Will and Eleanor are two lonely, plain, people with painful pasts that, probably, wouldn't have known what true happiness was until they found each other.

Being based in the post depression Era and WW2 in the south always reminds me of my mother's childhood and the innocence and fortitude of the people of that time.

The narrator is really good, she doesn't give the false southern accent and make the character sound stupid. Instead, she sounds genuine and authentic.

It is totally worth a credit.

On his way to interview for a position at a church in the Piney Woods of Texas, Crockett Archer can't believe it when he's forced off the train by an outlaw and presented to the man's daughter as the preacher she requested for her birthday. He's determined to escape - which would be much easier if he could stop thinking about Joanna Robbins and her unexpected request. For months, Joanna had prayed for a minister. A man to breathe life back into the abandoned church at the heart of her community. A man to assist her in fulfilling a promise to her dying mother. But just when it seems her prayers have been answered, it turns out the parson is there against his will....

I really enjoyed the story. Crockett and Joanna are so sweet and funny. The story was full of adventure and love. But! Without Cynthia Darlow's narration, it wouldn't have sounded the same. She sounded just like my favorite cousin from Texas. You would never know she really from Detroit, Michigan.

I could hear the laughter and the tears in her voice. I can't say enough about it.

Of course I loved the story. The whole crew at Fairy Tale Bakery is so much fun. I really like the addition of the new kid and Capt Jack. They both add a fun new flavor to the mix. (See what I did there?) also, the new new jukebox is perfect. Elvis makes EVERYTHING better.

What is wrong with Olivia. She really is psychotic. Someone needs to slip some Lithium in her cake mix.

Chace Russell really grows up in this novella. He starts off really thinking of himself as a lowlife, worthless human. But his experiences and friendships are wonderful.

This novella was well written and consistent with the novel Yellowstone Redemption.

The narrator talks a little fast for me so I slowed it down to 90% and that was perfect.

I would highly recommend this series. Peggy L Henderson is a really good writer. I'm always so invested in her characters.
