When I grow up I want to be Angie Pallorino...ok maybe not 100%, I mean I want to be tough, solve great mysteries, and jump Maddocks on the regular, but more than anything I want to have coffee with Kjel. What does this really mean? It means Loreth Anne White creates an incredible gritty tale with relatable, albeit not necessarily desired, situations and characters that and authentic and rich. Loved the creative language, the occasional need for a dictionary look-up because nothing about the language is dumbed down which absolutely suits the story, and maps and the internet to learn about regions that are not “typical” to books I’ve read before. Angie Pallorino’s first story sucked me in and I now devour everything this brilliant author presents! Brava Loreth Anne White and thank you for the new adventures!

Fantastic performance as well!

Flint Hopkins finds the perfect tenant to rent the space above his Minneapolis-based law office. All the t's are crossed and i's dotted on Ellen's application. Her references are good. And she's easy on the eyes. Until... Flint discovers Ellen Rodgers plays music. Bongos, guitars, singing - not Beethoven administered through noise-cancelling headphones. The cut-throat attorney serves up an eviction notice to the bubbly, constantly humming redhead who's too sexy for her own good. But luck is on Ellen's side when Flint's autistic son, Harrison, takes an instant liking to her.

Another wonderful Jewel E Ann story! I loved the story line, even though, as usual, I was brought to tears more than once. Simply relatable and flawed characters whose stories are woven together fantastically. Narration was perfect and I think Troy Duran just became my new favorite male performer! Well worth every minute!

As an FBI profiler, it's Lilah Love's job to think like a killer. And she is very good at her job. When a series of murders surface - the victims all stripped naked and shot in the head - Lilah's instincts tell her it's the work of an assassin, not a serial killer. But when the case takes her back to her hometown in the Hamptons and a mysterious but unmistakable connection to her own life, all her assumptions are shaken to the core.

This was my first time reading this author and first time listening to a performance by this narrator. Story first: LOVED it!!!!! I didn’t want it to end was sucked in to the sassy of Lilah and the way she thinks and interacts. She is 100% fully developed and it was easy to picture all aspects of her throughout the entire story. So much so that even her nightmares could be felt! Lisa Renee Jones has instantly become a go to author for me and I am starting a new listen tomorrow!

New narrator for me as well, and I limited my stars to 4 because it too a few chapters to adjust to the style of her male voices. It seemed to take a while to have the male voice(s) seem authentic and real. As for Lilah, she was brilliant and became her immediately and once I adjusted to her take narrating male voices I became fully immersed in the story she was telling. She will be added to my list of narrators to try again without a doubt!

I typically do not enjoy past and present stories but this was just perfect! It was just enough past sprinkled in to make it all make sense without it taking over. Beautifully written and the performance of the narrators was sublime! Also, Kudos to the perfecting of a five year olds conversations, thought patterns, and reactions! Often times the voice of children are written pretty generically, not the case here! I laughed out loud, awwwed whiled listening in the grocery store, and cried while listening at work. Well done to the author and narrators!!

My first TR Ragan read and completely outside of my normal genre but I have found a new author. Dark, edgy, and completely unexpected. I never thought I would be drawn into the world of a victim and a serial killer, let alone want to read more, but TR RAGAN is an amazing writer and the story was riveting! I ended up clicking all the Lizzy Gardner books and as of book 4 on my list I am not disappointed! AUDIBLE 20 REVIEW SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY

Something inside me fiercely craves normal. Sheltered all my life and taught to be afraid, I want to be bold, fearless. Up until now, I've kept myself and my heart safe. Tade Astor, a guy so hot he steals my breath away, jeopardizes it all. He isn't the kind of guy to give up on what he wants - me. He's determined to prove my safe world is missing something - him. Even though he may not be the cocky guy I assumed him to be.... He's definitely not the guy I should give my heart to.

Love this book!! This story is so full of emotions! I was cringing, I was crying, I was laughing, and I was just in love with Tade and Reagan! I was so caught up between the audio and reading when I couldn't listen that I forgot that I had no clue who the past was really referring to! It was seamless!. When the past and present meet, I cried! Tears while listening at work. It was amazing to be that pulled in by a story and the narration that you become part of! I love Terri E. Laine and can't wait to dive into Captivated by Him in December!

The story is incredible!!Edgy, lots of twists and turns, at times sexy at times horrifying!Incredibly well written with moments when the descriptions alone were stunning and not something that expected, not just the way something was described but the fact attention was given to something typically not even acknowledged. Little boy Asa is heart wrenching and difficult to read/listen too/feel. The performances of all three narrators were brilliant, but again, Asa is mind blowing is all settings, the ability for the narrator to interpret all aspects of Asa was stunning! This experience reading and listening exceeded expectations!!
