Peirs had accepted his life of servitude to an angel. His keeper asked only for a willing body, and in exchange his needs were met and he was fed and clothed. Peirs might have served the angel forever - it was the only life he knew - but one day Peirs discovered something he had no way to plan for. After two millennia, he was pregnant. Peirs now must summon the courage to escape his master and the unbendable divine law that declared no half-breeds should live, but running into an angelic soldier in the back room of a bar wasn’t part of his plan.

Well. This book truly took me by surprise. I admit to being a tiny bit confused in the beginning but the story was so compelling that I wanted to know where the plot would take me.

This story took a very different take on angels and demons. Some religious people may be up in arms about it, but ignore them. This book was an entertaining fantasy that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.

Great narration and good characters.

This was almost like a classic swashbuckling adventure. Except with a beautiful young man and a dashing and dangerous hero. It was short, with a little bit of piracy and a cool ending.

Joel Leslie's performance was great as always.

Dr. Corbin Davis is a busy guy just trying to do his best as a single parent. He may be oblivious to a lot of things, but surely he would’ve noticed something as important as his 15-year-old son Grayson being bullied, right? And what the heck is nonbinary, and why hasn’t Gray shared this all-important part of himself with his own dad?

Susie writes such sweet stories. The issues the characters in this story experience are so relatable. She tells them in a ways that pulls at your sweet tooth as well as bringing attention to some of the things that the LGBT community face. I love her humor and the sassiness of some of the characters was awesome. Michael Pauley's performance was so on point, as usual. I love his strong voice. Even when doing female voices. He is such a good narrator that whenever I see that a story is narrated by him, I am more likely to give it a chance. Great story and great listen!!!

I had to read books 1 and 2 again to remember everything so I can read book 3. After finishing this story, It seems I had forgotten so much. Amy Bartol has a way of putting her heroines through the ringer and ending a story with you needing to find out more. The relationships that the main character forms in her stories always seem to be a bit muddy. The intrigue, action and mystery of trying to figure out who the heroine can trust gets you all caught up in the story. Kate Reinders did a great job narrating. I love a narrator that can make you forget you are listening to a book and makes it seems like you are watching a movie. She had a great cadence and great character distinction. Going to relisten to book 2 now.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review and I am glad I had the privilege to listen to it.

First of all, Piers Ryman. His performance was great and he was very sexy with this narration. All of the characters were distinct and easy to follow.

I loved this story. I know I am usually jaded about British romances but this book has so changed my mind. I was so in love with the characters in this book. While all of the characters were very well written and I get a good feel for why each of the characters behaved as they did, I especially loved Matt. I go on and on about Matt because the way he was written is how I would love for my significant other(s) to be. He was a bit shaky on how he was feeling but was able to admit to his best friends what he was feeling. Throughout the story, he just did the adult thing and decided to discuss the issues even if when it was uncomfortable for him to do so.

I loved the ending which, once again in my jaded view of British romance we hardly ever get.

At the age of 20, I never thought I'd have to make the choice between true love or my soul. Then again, I never thought I'd be faced with any of the terrible, wonderful, impossible things that exist in Lyle Carraway's world. The vampire is a weakness I never even knew I had, and when he whispers promises of immortality and sensual luxury, it's more temptation than I can handle. Good Catholic boys from small towns aren't supposed to make deals with the devil, but I never counted on him being this hard to resist. Or being the key to the family I've always wanted.

This book was okay. The story was good but it felt like something was missing.

The narration wasn't terrible as I've heard way worse. It didn't stop me from getting into the story and he got better as the book went on.

This was just my opinion.

I cannot believe that I avoided this author for so long. I think it was because everyone kept recommending their books. I am so not a follower. Plus sometimes you can't trust some recs. For this series though, every recommendation has been worth it. I hate that the rest of the series isn't on Audible yet because if Aiden Snow is narrating them, yum. Just YUM.

Possible spoilers- not sure

Embracing His Syn was great. It is fiction and I thoroughly enjoyed the antics of Day and God's antics with Syn in this book. But this story also touched on spousal abuse. For whatever reason, some people don't take the abuse seriously if it's being done to a man. Whether he is gay or straight it shouldn't matter. This storyline was great with that.

I am loving this series and the characters. I love that the characters are so well written and they are all manly men while still showing a bit of vulnerability when it counts.

Great read. I cannot wait to read the next book.

I have read this entire series and this book is what got me hooked. The dynamic between Jonas, Mace, and Cole was just awesome. I was prepared to hate Mace but wow. I am trying my best not to spoil this book but there is only so much you can say without telling what and why.

So- I will say that Sloane Kennedy. Joel Leslie. Great combination. Sloane and her ability to draw you in, have you wondering with bated breath what's going to happen next; wrench your heart out; get you feeling a little randy and your blood pressure up while all the time making you fall in love with these characters. Combine that with Joel Leslie's inane ability to make you feel what the character is feeling and you got a damn good read.

Great characters and great story.
