I know most fans of Mark wont need a review, but I just wanted to say...wow. This is a great book, and I actually teared up at the end. Several lines made me crack up, I had to pause the book for a minute.
Also Sean, you are amazing.

This is my second time through the book and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. I disagree with the reviewer who mentioned they didn't like lyrics being read. I thought it added an interesting view of the lyrics. As he read them I remembered the song but enjoyed them on a different level, being read instead of sang. I have been a lifelong fan of Paul and this book has helped me enjoy his lifes work even more.
The narrator was great for the story, he was engaging with the writing. I highly recommend this for any Simon fan. Thanks.

JK, I should start this by saying I am a field property insurance adjuster so I enjoyed this book a great deal. The reason I liked this book is it is predictable but not in a way you might expect. The main character is an insurance adjuster for a major insurance company who inspects a home that was burned down along with a death. The homeowner is a shady guy, but wow is he dirty. The book goes into great detail about the claims process and everything, along with the inevitable investigation into the fire and death. I know, it sounds a bit boring but it is full of detail and backstories into all the characters. It takes twists and turns and turned out to be a great read. I really enjoyed Don Winslow's the cartel and power of the dog. This book doesn't compare to those but holds its own. The narrator was very good as well, no complaints for his performance.

This books combines 2 of my favorite things, history and comedy. And it is accurate history for the most part. The narrator is fantastic he has a great voice for this book and makes the reading fun. I wouldn't expect subtle "intellectual" humor, there are a lot of dick jokes and the like, but all add to the charm. I don't mean for that to sound negative, it is a very funny book. It starts with George Washington and then every subsequent president after. He has a chapter on each president and explains the ways in which the president was a great man or a douche, which we have had several. The book ends with Reagan, which I guess is kind of appropriate. Not sure how manly Clinton was...Worth the read.

I have been taking chances on Ray Porter narrations and this is one of them. But this is a great book! I am not a huge fan of the futuristic science fiction, this book is along those lines but is different. Plus there are a lot of Simpsons references that are spot on. Anyway, Bob is uploaded to a computer and has retained almost all of his personality. He is sent into space and starts his own sort of colony by cloning himself. Each Bob has a different personality, like your kids, and they explore the galaxy, finding life on other planets and the like. There is action, comedy, suspense it has it all. It is well worth your credit and the best part is there are several more books to listen too if you like the first one. Don't hesitate, you will enjoy it.

I didn't care too much for this book. I am a fan of Grisham but this one is a bit predictable and really highlights some despicable people. During a trial one of the jurors seems to be leading the others to make a decision. There are some side stories but you can predict how this one turns out and why. He has a lot of other great books on audible to listen to. I really like to judge a book on whether or not I would read it again, and this one I had a hard time finishing let alone read again. I have said before, not a huge fan of Frank Muller so that didn't help either. Not his strongest book.

This was a great book. It is not necessarily an exciting thriller or anything like some of his other books. But like the Rainmaker it brings up a tough subject and makes you proud of the main character. An attorney who is on his way to becoming a very rich man has an experience that causes him to rethink his path in life. He gives up the wealth to help out the more unfortunate in society. He losses a lot of relationships as his family doesn't understand his new career choice. But the book narrates his struggle, which is puzzling. It is more difficult to be poor. This book will make you want to try and be a better person, not a life changer but a motivator. I really enjoyed it and it is worth the credit. I am not a huge fan of Frank Muller the narrator but he does a good job.

I enjoyed this book a lot. Although I will say that having Ray Porter as a narrator makes a book more enjoyable. The book really develops the characters and has a believable science aspect to it. It has a very interesting plot to it and the story will take you off in different directions. The editors description doesn't give too much to the imagination, and I hesitated before using a credit. If it wasn't for Ray Porter I wouldn't have used one, but I am glad I did. If you are looking for a science fiction story, that wont leave you hanging get this book. I don't want to give away any details as there are a lot of plot twists. But it is worth a listen. Problem is you wont get any sleep, as you wont want to stop listening. Thanks!

As I said, fantastic book. It was definitely not what I expected and took me off into an imaginative world. The book was descriptive and my imagination was in high gear the whole time. It takes you into the underworld and has some new spins on creatures like demons, spirits, gods etc. And if none of that sounds great you should get it just to listen to RC Bray, who is just an amazing narrator. Pick it up!

Not sure if some of the other listeners made it all the way through, but a few sections begin with certain celebrities, their problems and how he helped them. Then he explains what to do if you are having the same issues. But anyway, the book comes with a PDF and a companion website which has practice exercises you can listen to and download which is pretty neat. I am not a professional singer just looking to get better and I feel like this book has helped a lot. It is too soon to see so far, maybe in a month I will come back and let everyone know how I am doing. But it goes into other subjects such as songwriting, practicing, stage fright and a lot of other relevant topics. If you are at all interested pick up this book. Roger is obviously one of the top in the industry and sincerely wants to help, I believe. He is enthusiastic and his positivity is kind of contagious as you are listening. In the audio exercises he even encourages you as you go along, which at first I thought was silly but really helped as I was struggling. Great book, pick it up!
