One word. Stay. It was all he had to do. Instead, he got on that bus and took my heart with him. That was 17 years ago. I moved on. Marriage. Kids. White picket fence. Everything I ever wanted, but my husband betrayed me and I was left once again.

I get all the good reviews. It had some moments that were sweet, happy, sad and painful. By painful I mean hard for the character to go through, however, I was frustrated with the self absorbed main character, Presley. She became annoying to listen to at times with her repetitive wining. The character lacked feelings for others. Although I did finish because I wanted to get to the next story(That looked promising.). But don't go by me, most everyone else loved it.

It's been over a decade since Nora left her hometown of Scupper Island, Maine, and very seldom looked back. She's carved out a successful life in Boston, where no one knows her as the awkward girl with the delinquent sister and the dad who left, but a not-as-dramatic-as-it-sounds brush with death has her taking stock of her life. Inspired to reconnect with her prickly mother and snarky teenage niece, Nora returns home for the summer, where she's forced to face the people she's spent the last ten years trying to avoid.

Like her other books, I couldn’t put it down. Though a little heavier subject matter than usual, I was engrossed. Her main character is smart, kind, insecure at times, and very much like most of us. It was nice to see her get some kahunas by the end of the book. I also liked the love interest very much because he was also flawed.

It had me from the beginning and never stopped. It's not easy writing about the subject of abuse. Especially from a child's perspective growing up to adulthood in an abusive home. It was a beautiful story of friendship, support and love. Atlas and Libby, overcoming hardship and ending the chain of abuse. I loved this book much more than I imagined I would.

Lucy Lang isn't looking for fireworks. She's looking for a nice, decent man. Someone who'll mow the lawn, flip chicken on the barbecue, teach their future children to play soccer. But most important: someone who won't inspire the slightest stirring in her heart - or anywhere else. A young widow, Lucy can't risk that kind of loss again. But sharing her life with a cat named Fat Mikey and the Black Widows at the family bakery isn't enough either.

Much Ado About Magic is the delightful tale of a painting that takes on a life of its own. Because Lady Lucinda Pembroke’s paintings have a reputation for being prophetic, her picture of a handsome man laughing as a ship sinks causes widespread gossip. Londoners are sure it must be Sir Trevelyan Rochester, gloating as his wealthy cousin drowns. As Lucinda tries to repair his reputation, she creates a mutual desire as colorful as her brushstrokes.

Would you consider the audio edition of Much Ado about Magic to be better than the print version?

Absolutely. Simon Prebble portrays the best male voice I've ever heard. Sultry and with a lovely English accent that melts butter. Ladies, do yourself a favor and buy this audio.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rochester. Because Simon Prebble was amazing. You want to go to bed with his voice every night.

Have you listened to any of Simon Prebble’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. He is a brilliant reader with a masculine voice made for historic romances.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole book was so good I couldn't put it down. Lucinda and Rochester are perfect sole mates.

Any additional comments?

One of the best romantic audiobooks I've listened to. I'll be listening to this book multiple times.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The accent that Amy Rubinate trys to do of Tom. It sounds more like
an Australian than a Brit. and Tom's character was hard for me to develop.
By the end of the book I wanted to smack Tom if he said "Mate" one more
time. I would have preferred to read the book.

Would you recommend The Perfect Match to your friends? Why or why not?

Only if they haven't read any other KH books. This was predictable after reading so
many of her books. I recommend KH to many of my friends, however, I'd pass on this
one. Was frustrated by the time I was done.

What three words best describe Amy Rubinate’s performance?

Not good here.

Do you think The Perfect Match needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No. Whatever needed to get wrapped up did and I'm done with Tom.

Any additional comments?

I love Kristan Higgans. I look for her books and pre-ordered the next in this series.
Hope its better than this one.

With The Look of Love, best-selling author Bella Andre introduces you to a fun and emotional contemporary romance series about the Sullivan family. Because when a Sullivan bad boy falls... he falls hard. And it's forever. Chloe Peterson is having a bad night. A really bad night. The large bruise on her cheek can attest to that. And when her car skids off the side of a wet country road straight into a ditch, she's convinced even the gorgeous guy who rescues her must be too good to be true. Or is he?

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I don't know. I'm a big fan of romance, however, they jumped into sex to soonand spoiled the rest for me. I didn't even finish. They needed to develop an deeper attraction or at least let one build.

What was most disappointing about Bella Andre’s story?

Dove into the sex to soon. The attraction needed to build. Everything was to much to soon.

Have you listened to any of Eva Kaminsky’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I like the narrator very much. She's the reason I hung in there until the middle. She wasn't my problem. The story was.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Look of Love?

The masterbation scene first. The constant sex talk or thought second. Didn't let your own imagination marinate.

Any additional comments?

With all the great reviews of the sequels, I'm going to give the second a try but I hope they write a better story to go with the romance.

What did you love best about Never Seduce a Scot?

How Evangeline managed to protect herself by pretending
that an accident did more to her mental stability than her family thought.
This lead her into a marriage that seemed hopeless until you
discover the gentle way in which her husband comes to
know and respect her.

What did you like best about this story?

It was a little different than the usual Scottish storylines.

What about Kirsten Potter’s performance did you like?

She did a fabulous job. Her Scottish brogue was infectious.
Along with her ability to adjust to men vs woman. That's not easy
and for me important for the romance story.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

This would be a great movie!
