Anyone who saw an episode of Saturday Night Live between 1999 and 2006 knows Rachel Dratch. She was hilarious! So what happened to her? After a misbegotten part as Jenna on the pilot of 30 Rock, Dratch was only getting offered roles as "Lesbians. Secretaries. Sometimes secretaries who are lesbians." Her career at a low point, Dratch suddenly had time for yoga, dog- sitting, learning Spanish - and dating. After all, what did a forty-something single woman living in New York have to lose?

The book discusses Rachel struggles as a comedian and it's very indicative to her writing, as well. I'm shocked that people gave this book more than three stars because I could barely get to the next chapter. Her writing is pedestrian, and reading comparable to someone in eighth grade. I gave it three stars because the bit about SNL was interesting.

The Psychopath Test is a fascinating journey through the minds of madness. Jon Ronson's exploration of a potential hoax being played on the world's top neurologists takes him, unexpectedly, into the heart of the madness industry. An influential psychologist who is convinced that many important CEOs and politicians are, in fact, psychopaths teaches Ronson how to spot these high-flying individuals by looking out for little telltale verbal and nonverbal clues.

Do not recommend. Scattered and odd.
Too many random thoughts, not following plot and rambling. Could have been better written and characters developed.

Well-developed story from the person that encountered it. Easy flowing and jaw-dropping at the same time. Well done Mr. Browder, well done.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

The story and characters were very good. A lot of twists and turns with edge of your seat chapters. I didn't want to going to work as I wanted to finish listening to the current storyline. Believable characters and setting with well conceived overall plot.

The story could have been much better, it had a lot of hope. I was never on the edge of my seat. There are many opportunities to create a better sense of illusion. The characters were well-developed but the story was flat. About the middle of the story I realized it was a lot of chick drama versus a political story with almost all female cast. Limited audience.
