Cat Marnell lays it all on the line in "How to Murder Your Life." I enjoyed listening to her quirky ramblings that delved into the depths of her struggles with addiction and body image issues, shedding light on the reality of mental illness with acute clarity and candor. Her rough-around-the-edges approach was charming and endearing, even as she recounted some of her most dark and disturbing low points. "How to Murder Your Life" highlights the raw reality of life as an entitled, wealthy drug addict in New York City. It was compelling, interesting, and at times haunting.

This book was powerful, heartfelt, and heartbreaking. Danni’s unique, playful, and authentic voice made this a delight to listen to. I found her candor and willingness to share her real experiences—the good, the bad, and the ugly—completely refreshing and empowering. In “Eyebrows and Empathy,” Danni explores the depths of her deeply personal experiences with the “heavy stuff” in life—racism, discrimination, failure, infidelity, divorce, depression, anxiety, single parenthood, identity, and the search for meaning—and how these experiences ultimately helped to strengthen, guide, and empower her. Once I started I couldn’t stop! I loved it.

Traditional fairytales are rife with cliches and gender stereotypes: beautiful, silent princesses; ugly, jealous, and bitter villainesses; girls who need rescuing; and men who take all the glory. But in this rousing new prose and poetry collection, Nikita Gill gives Once Upon a Time a much-needed modern makeover. Through her gorgeous reimagining of fairytale classics and spellbinding original tales, she dismantles the old-fashioned tropes that have been ingrained in our minds. In this book, gone are the docile women and male saviors. Instead, lines blur between heroes and villains.

In this stunning new book, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous and the most successful. He asks the question: what makes high achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like and too little attention to where they are from: that is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.
