Good story with the most naive heroine I,ve ever read -no one can be so smart but so naive/innocent as this one I felt like I was reading a regency romance it made me struggle to finish the story, the hero was great but her I couldn’t, much take .would have been better with a, stronger heroine personality between the two as the story gave me to believe when I bought it well better luck next book....

As a lover of Hamilton’s Blake series I,ve hung in there with all the sex, poly crap and such that,s been written by the author during the last few years but this time she couldn’t even give much of a story without all the crap, this has more sexual crap than the story she,s famous for and like most of her fans I think I,ve had it!,,this book couldn,t even hold my interest after waiting over a year for it to come out and debating whether to buy it because I don,t like snakes....but once I read it that wasn’t what disappointed me it was the sex crap that was eighty percent of the story, the author needs to give up writing for her fans and just start writing for erotic fans because she,s lost most of her old ones

Agree with most of reviews this male narrator ruined the story, took away the individual personalities that I,ve come to love and depend on,one flat out voice for all male characters and the storyline moved around back/forward. Making it hard to keep up with the story I waitied almost a year for this book, have all of mercy thompson stories. In both written and audio form and reread this constantly but between the way this story is written and the rotten male narrator I,m very disappointed, hope the next book goes back to the original form

Jason Schuyler is a werewolf. He's also one of Anita Blake's best friends, and sometimes her lover. And right now he needs her - not to be a vampire hunter, or a federal marshal, or a necromancer, or even for her rank in the werewolf pack, but because his father is dying. He needs Anita because she's a pretty woman who loves him, who can make him look like an everyday guy.

Some zombies are raised. Others must be put down. Just ask Anita Blake. Before now, she would have considered them merely off-putting, never dangerous. Before now, she had never heard of any of them causing human beings to perish in agony. But that’s all changed. Micah's estranged father lies dying, rotting away inside from some strange ailment that has his doctors whispering about "zombie disease". Anita makes her living off of zombies - but these aren’t the kind she knows so well. These creatures hunt in daylight, and are as fast and strong as vampires.
