This was a fun listen and packed full of really interesting information. I loved hearing the proper pronunciation of the Dino’s. I can’t wait to sit down with my kiddos and listen together!

The format is similar to a podcast, with the way each chapter contains what could be considered a lecture in an upper level college class, but written and narrated in an easy to understand way! Thumbs up for sure! 👍👍

I cannot begin to explain the impact that this book had on me. Not only did it help me understand more about the different cultures around the world, but it opened my eyes to the things that I take for granted about my life, the essential elements of life like food, water, availability of medical professionals, education, safety and transportation. Many of those things are denied to others, and the absence of them is in humane at times.

I lost count of how many times I got goosebumps, shed tears of joy and gasped in horror when hearing the stories of oppression of women and girls, and the efforts to change cultural norms and gender biases.

I absolutely count this as one of my top 5 favorite books ever, and I am a voracious reader. The thought provoking information, research and execution of small changes made possible by the partners of the Gates Foundation, have changed my vision and understanding of the world.

Bravo Melinda! Hearing you narrate your words was so amazing, it made the incredible book even more amazing. ❤️

I absolutely loved this! Stephen Fry’s narration was spot on and phenomenal! I have been working on a “100 books to read in your lifetime,” list for years, inserting books from the list into my routine.

I really had little knowledge of Sherlock Holmes, or of Arthur Conan Doyle at all. The foreword was really great, and really helped prepped me on a little history of Doyle and his timeless and brilliant duo!

62 hours flew by so quickly!!! The formatting by the producers helps these stories flow smoothly! I listened to this collection over the course of several weeks and was actually kinda sad that I finished a few minutes ago. Holmes and Watson became like friends.

Now I need to find something as wonderful as this to listen to next!!!

I may have to give it a listen again, this time with my kids!!! ❤️❤️

This was wonderful to listen to. The narrator’s voice was captivating and full of emotion. I enjoyed listening to and sharing this with my children. Now I might have to watch the tv production!

There are hardly words to explain how much I loved this story and it's sound. I am not sure if I could have understood and appreciated the book if I hadn't listened to it. Reading words on paper leave out the gravel, the syrup and the anguish of the voice of the story.

Hearing the voices and the accents of the characters helped me to embrace them. I felt like I was watching their story in my mind while hearing their fears, joys and triumphs.

I do not often read books twice, and have never listened to a book a second time, but I may allow an exception for "The Book Thief."
