Stephanie Plum, Trenton, New Jersey's favorite pistol-packing, condom-carrying bounty hunter, is back and on the trail of a revenge-seeking waitress who's skipped bail. With the help of 73-year-old Grandma Mazur, ex-hooker Lula, a transvestite musician named Sally Sweet, and the all-too-hospitable, all-too-sexy Joe Morelli, Stephanie might just catch her woman.

there's some flaws with the way they do the chapters in this book but all in all it is a nice light funny audiobook. we have a new character that is introduced into Stephanie's life... Sally Sweet is not your normal girl... she has true cojones. enjoyable but I am sad there is no book 5 on audiobook that I can find or books 6 so I guess I'll have to do some actual reading before listening to book 7. it would be very nice to not have this Gap in the series

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum is back, packing a whole lot of attitude. This time around, she's on the trail of Kenny Mancuso, a boy from the working-class burg of Trenton, New Jersey, who has just shot his best friend. Fresh out of the Army and suspiciously wealthy, Mancuso's also distantly related to Joe Morelli, a vice cop with questionable ethics, a libido in permanent overdrive, and a habit of horning in on Stephanie's investigations.

I will be pulling my review for the shorter reading of this book which obviously is The Abridged one. I did not know that this version existed, this one is much longer and not abridged, or I would have purchased it earlier and not wasted my money on the other one. I am new to Audible and will see if they will trade the other one for a different audiobook for me as advertised.

although The Abridged version was entertaining... This unabridged reading deals in a lot of gaps and add some more humor probably because it is not abridged.

Stephanie's grandma in this one shows us what she's made of. Stephanie gets a new car. someone Stephanie helped becomes the file Clerk at the bail bonds office and this person might actually stay longer than a day or two. Joe is back and his relationship with Stephanie is just as hot and cold as something can get and there's a couple of very funny scenes. looking forward to listening to the third book now which I have found in an unabridged form also read by C.J. Critt

Stephanie Plum once again takes to the mean streets of Trenton, NJ, armed with attitude (not to mention stun guns, defense sprays, killer flashlights, and her untrustworthy .38) to find Kenny Mancuso, who recently left the army, inadvertently shot his best friend, and is on the run in violation of a bond.

I listened to the first book unabridged read by Critt...it was good but I like Lori Party's voice. Her accent makes Two for The Dough sound more "real".... to me...(my sons' father's paternal grandfather was an Italian immigrant and the family settled in New Jersey).
I am curious to know if there is an unabridged version of this book though since it appears Ms Petty read an abridged version of the first book. hmmmmm....
wish I had purchased the longer version though....maybe I can purchase it and compare before purchasing other books in this series

I love the narrator and I have a cat who also likes to listen to her voice when we go to sleep at night. Lol the author does a great job of describing the homes of the Victorian era and has obviously researched much about home building and remodeling. this is a delight for me because I learn something as I'm being entertained. this is the fourth book I've listened to in this series and they are all great! in text form this would be called Light reading... So I guess the equivalent would be easy to listen to and follow while listening which makes it great to listen to while doing housework or driving

the narrator does an awesome job with this book, in fact so awesome that my cat enjoyed listening to this with me at night... Seems he likes the voice of the narrator Angela starling. hard to write a review without giving away the best parts of this book. however, if you love books for you cannot figure out the ending until you are at the ending then this is a must read or listen to. I've read other books in a different series by this author and this series I have listened to exclusively on audio books so far. Carlisle is able to create a setting in her books based on fact which obviously comes from doing ones homework. Carlisle's way of writing will have you seeing the settings which for me helps put me into the story in a way that makes it more real. listen to this book to find out who wins the Victorian House contest and find out how they get to the end for that winner to be announced
