I love these mysteries, they are fun, not realistic, but loads of fun. My only problem is the reader, Stephanie Daniel. Some of the voices she uses are so annoying that I can't listen. I love these books but the reader ruins the experience.

One minute, silly Heather Babcock had been babbling on at her movie idol, the glamorous Marina Gregg. The next, Heather suffered a massive seizure, poisoned by a deadly cocktail. It seems likely that the cocktail was intended for the beautiful actress. But while the police fumble to find clues, Miss Marple begins to ask her own questions, because as she knows...even the most peaceful village can hide dark secrets.

I love Agatha Christie books, but the narrator of this book is just awful. I't hard to enjoy Christie's writing, having to listen to her ( Emilia Fox) interpretation of some of the women's voices.

The poetry and the power of the word of God comes alive in this informative presentation that is meant to instill in all lovers of the Bible a deeper intimacy with the living Word of God, the logos, the Christ. Dr. Healy skillfully fuses together the history of salvation in Hebrew Scriptures with the culmination of that history as spiritually understood in the New Testament. Nevertheless, only a person who is truly looking for the inspiration that comes from the Holy Spirit can truly unlock the meaning of the inspired word.

This is amazing, I learned a lot, the only problem is the quality of the recording. Doctor Healy's talk is great, but every once in a while she cuts out, but only for a second or two. She takes questions from th audience, but you can't hear them at all. You can hear the voices cutting in and out, but not the questions. Sort of makes me wonder what else is missing. Having said that, this well worth the listen.

A gifted storyteller and spiritual director, Father James Martin, SJ, invites listeners to experience the stories of the Gospels in a completely new, vivid, and exciting way to gain a deeper understanding of Jesus. Moving sequentially through the Gospels, considering not only familiar passages but also the "hidden life" of Jesus, the book offers a bold retelling of the life of Christ, faithful to the Christian tradition, while meditating on parts of the narrative that have often escaped notice.

A definitive, deeply moving narrative, Bonhoeffer is a story of moral courage in the face of the monstrous evil that was Nazism. After discovering the fire of true faith in a Harlem church, Bonhoeffer returned to Germany and became one of the first to speak out against Hitler. As a double agent, he joined the plot to assassinate the Führer and was hanged in Flossenbürg concentration camp at age thirty-nine. Since his death, Bonhoeffer has grown to be one of the most fascinating, complex figures of the twentieth century.

Soon, immersing herself in a spiritual quest, she makes a pilgrimage to the holy city of Medjugorje. There, she learns that Mary comes into a person’s life only when pride steps out and receives a bonus: hope.
