Profoundly moving and gracefully told, Pachinko follows one Korean family through the generations, beginning in early 1900s Korea with Sunja, the prized daughter of a poor yet proud family, whose unplanned pregnancy threatens to shame them. Betrayed by her wealthy lover, Sunja finds unexpected salvation when a young tubercular minister offers to marry her and bring her to Japan to start a new life.

If you could sum up Pachinko in three words, what would they be?

A wonderful epic adventure.

What did you like best about this story?

Tough question since I loved the whole story. The way the family accepted everyone no matter their background.

Who was the most memorable character of Pachinko and why?

All the characters were my favorite. I enjoyed reading about Solomon growing into a young man.

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed the narrator and the history behind this story. I'm glad I picked up this book.

Loved the book. Felt it was a great follow up but a little frustrated by the ending. Like another reviewer I really hope the author does a third book so we can see what happens. Won't say anymore don't want to give away too much. =)

Imajica is an epic beyond compare: vast in conception, obsessively detailed in execution, and apocalyptic in its resolution. At its heart lies the sensualist and master art forger Gentle, whose life unravels when he encounters Judith Odell, whose power to influence the destinies of men is vaster than she knows, and Pie "oh" pah, an alien assassin who comes from a hidden dimension.
