Felix - Things I expect to find at Gadleigh Castle: rare stained glass, the subject of my dissertation; peace and quiet, to finish said dissertation; an escape from the paparazzi. Things I don’t expect to find: a hidden door leading to a secret room; the most gorgeous man I’ve ever set eyes on; love. Lio - Things I know are expected of me in life: I will become the King of Liorland; I will marry a nice woman; I will provide heirs to my family’s monarchy. Reasons that might be difficult: I’m gay; I’m falling in love with Felix; He has no idea I’m royal.

Being a fugitive in the Old West shouldn’t be this much fun. The year is 1860. Robby Riverton is a rising star on the New York stage. But he witnesses a murder by a famous crime boss and is forced to go on the run - all the way to Santa Fe. When he still can't seem to ditch his pursuers, he disguises himself as a mail-order bride he meets on the wagon train. Caught between gangsters who want to kill him and the crazy, uncouth family of his "intended", Robby's only ally is a lazy sheriff who sees exactly who Robby is.

In an attempt to manage his overflowing book collection, Elliott builds a miniature neighborhood library in his front yard. The project puts him in touch with his neighbors - for better and worse - and introduces him to handsome, charming Simon.  While romance blooms quickly between them, Elliott's not willing to live in the closet, and his best career prospects might take him far away. His books have plenty to tell him about history, but they give him no clues about a future with Simon.

This story is very realistic. Almost to the point of being boring.

The sex scenes also fell flat. Like having a really good build up, only to fall flat during the orgasm.

The narrator was neither bad nor good. The voices all sounded the same, but it was still a decent job.

Hell, everything about this book was just plan average. I wouldn't recommend it. But I wouldn't not recommend it either. If you are looking for a book that depicts a highly realistic romance, you should choose this.

So when Rafe transfers to an all-boys' boarding school in New England, he decides to keep his sexuality a secret - not so much going back in the closet as starting over with a clean slate.

If you are like me, and read books for that rush of romance fulfilled, then this isn't for you. The romantic couple do NOT end up together. It left me feeling so very disappointed. While the ending is highly realistic, it's just not what I'm looking for.

SPOILER ALERT!

At the end of the book she tells some aspects of the story from the guy's point of view. I think it would have made the book much more appealing if it had been interlaced into the actual story. Knowing something the main character doesn't know gives the reader a sense of anticipation. Something that was lacking in this book.

Except not everything is that simple.
