She wanted an adventure. She never imagined it would go this far. It begins with a reality TV show. Twelve contestants are sent into the woods to face challenges that will test the limits of their endurance. While they are out there, something terrible happens - but how widespread is the destruction, and has it occurred naturally or is it man-made? Cut off from society, the contestants know nothing of it.

This book started off great! The concept of the book was so interesting but the author lost me about halfway through. After finishing, I felt there were so many loose ends and way too much time spent going in between multiple perspectives. It was as if halfway through the book the author decided this needed to be a series rather than a single novel.

Summer 1977. The Blyton Summer Detective Club (of Blyton Hills, a small mining town in Oregon's Zoinx River Valley) solved their final mystery and unmasked the elusive Sleepy Lake monster - another low-life fortune hunter trying to get his dirty hands on the legendary riches hidden in Deboën Mansion. And he would have gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for those meddling kids.

Great book concept and the characters are very like-able. Definitely brings back nostalgia for Scooby Doo and the Gang. However..........the constant reference to Carrie’s hair drove me insane!

When Barry Fairweather dies unexpectedly in his early 40s, the little town of Pagford is left in shock. Pagford is, seemingly, an English idyll, with a cobbled market square and an ancient abbey, but what lies behind the pretty façade is a town at war. Rich at war with poor, teenagers at war with their parents, wives at war with their husbands, teachers at war with their pupils.... Pagford is not what it at first seems. And the empty seat left by Barry on the town's council soon becomes the catalyst for the biggest war the town has yet seen.

I went into this book with the mindset that J.K. Rowling can do no wrong and unfortunately I was disappointed. The story just never seemed to pick up and the narration was hard to listen to.

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, Ready Player One is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.

This story is awesome! I enjoyed every minute of this book. It is easily one of the best books I've read in a long time. I can honestly say it's now one of my favorites and I'm sure I will be reading it over and over. Also, this got me hooked on all Wil Wheaton narrated books, his voice is just so great!
